Having a hard time deciding on which tire size to go with for my 2017 340i. I did a search but can't find a definitive answer on what's the best size to go with. I'm going with either the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S or Continental SportContact 6. Also I need tires that if I lower on ACS springs won't rub or cause any issues.

Hard to say exactly, since those don't sound like OEM rim specs. Those are fairly large rims for an F30. I'd guess something like 255/35 up front and 285/30 in the rear, assuming they don't rub.

Those are standard "upsized" wheels for F30. Most people go with 235/35 or 245/35 front and 265/30 or 275/30 rear. My wheels are almost identical to your specs and I run 245/35 275/30 lowered on H&R sports with no issues

ok thanks for the replies but I ended up having the local tire shop place an order of 235/40 for the front and 265/35 for the rear. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Hopefully won't regret my decision.

You should be ok as long as the springs don't lower too much

Those are the sizes I'm running and I think they fit the wheels perfectly. Nice meaty look!

finally got my pair of OEM 437M on with continental ECS tires on the 340xi. looks and feels great!

maybe a drop in the future but enjoying the travel and compliance and nibble handling for now.

Here are some quik pics of OEMConcept 437M 19" wheels installed on my 2015 F32 435ix MSport

Setup:

19x8.5 ET: 35 Front 245/35ZR-19 Mich Pilot Sport A/S 3+

19x9.5 ET: 35 Rear 275/30ZR-19 Mich Pilot Sport A/S 3+

Combination of offsets and tires size makes for tires flush with fender without spacers. Aggressive tire width (esp. rear) makes the car look as an entire different animal from the puny 8" square 400M wheels car came with.

No rubbing & no tire stretch with these size tires

Ok I have the same wheels with same ET as you and also same size tires. Are you planning on lowering? Not sure I can as it looks like it might rub in the rear for me. ('16 340i) I was thinking about doing ACS springs but worried it will rub even with the modest drop.

Those sizes you posted in the first post aren't for OEM 437M and you are saying that you have the same wheel as monkiboy which are OEM.

Either way, if yours are 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 with 235/40 and 165/35 will work just fine. I have the same setup on mpss and I'm on m performance suspension.

Oh ok, I misread as I thought he had replicas. Also I thought the OEM 437M wheels were NOT et 35. I have replicas from OEM Concepts.

stock is 225/40, 255/35, 26.1/26.0" diameters, 3.5"/3.5" sidewall

235/40, 265/35, 26.4/26.3" diameters, 3.7"/3.7" sidewall. will help correct bmw speedo that reads high, reduce fender well gap, more impact protection and better ride.

235/35, 265/30, 25.5/25.3" diameters, 3.2/3.1" sidewalls. will increase speedo error to read even higher than actual, increase fenderwell gap, less impact protection and harsher ride. however you should accelerate faster and put more mileage on your car than you're actually traveling.

The factory sticker on the driver side door reads 225/45/18 front and rear. What would the be diameters and sidewalls on the original OEM setup? Thanks for your help.

if you have 18's, sportlines come with 225/45/18 square and msports come with a 225/45/18F, 255/40/18R staggered setup. diameters are 26" and sidewalls are 4" for both widths of oem 18's

with x drive you just want to keep the differential in rolling diameter between front and rear very low, most folks say less than 1% variance.

you can use a tire size calculator online to help determine the difference and what will work with you. (i.e. http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator)

i did notice most folks running the 235/35 and 265/30 but i prefer compliance and a bit more "cushion" as we have horrible roads in my metro area. still very sporty and a huge upgrade over the run flats but a bit more compliant ride and safer on the wheels if a large pothole or similar tries to take the car out haha.
