Anyone who thinks MPPSK is worse than the stock setup needs to get a Fiesta
How much did the JB4 cost? How much power over the 360HP with MPPSK?
Sorry for the late response. The JB4 is about £600 with Bluetooth and EWG cable - both essential for MPPSK cars.

Should push out 420bhp.

Not dyno'd mine yet.

MPPSK - bangs and pops fully intact - in fact (installed 4 weeks ago) it sounds like a spitfire. I'm almost embarrassed sometimes to be driving what sounds like an angry bear along a high street.

I like the suspension and steering better in sport so I'm normally in Sport or Sport+ mode. Also only use 97/98 RON Esso or Shell fuel: 7-8% more expensive, 10-12% better mpg. Makes its own argument. Hadn't considered the effect on the sound before reading this thread...

There’s a lot more exhaust feedback when you use the throttle than with the stock setup, but little or no drone when you are a constant speed - and it’s as quiet as stock at motorway cruising speeds. It doesn’t pipe anything through the speakers either as ASD is apparently disabled with the MPPSK so you have the sensation that it’s all going on behind you, rather than some of the sound being generated in the cabin. I like the sound of the exhaust in Comfort a lot . I think that it sounds better than the stock system in Sport.

The exhaust in Sport mode is pretty brutal, producing a deep burble, which becomes loud, raw and guttural when you put your foot down. I can see why folks like it, but tbh, I think it would be better suited to a two-seater sports car than my four door hatch. I will probably use it sparingly, leaving it in Comfort and sticking the gear lever to the left to engage sport mode on the auto box (rather than using the Sport button) when I want to press on, which leaves the exhaust in Comfort.
I like the gutteral sound so much that I use Carly for BMW Pro to open the exhaust valve in Comfort mode (all actually) on every drive. More power and with a lot of motorway driving, I am sitting on 8.1 l/100 kms.

Apologies for the late post.

How's your experience been with the JB4..big power 'feeling' difference over MPPSK? Any slight problems?

I cant comment about JB4 exactly but the Remus Powerizer (which is pretty much the same) gives good gains here.

There is one for sale over in the for sale section at the moment.

So easy to plug in / remove. Only thing it misses is the bluetooth element of the JB4 but it's far far cheaper.

Hi all, got a question from a new (to me) BMW owner. I purchased a used 340i with the MPPSK package on it. However, they apparently kept (or didn't install) the M exhaust tips.

My question is, do I need to worry about the exhaust melting the bumper without the tips, or should I make getting them a priority?

Do you have any tips on right now?

Nope, it's just the pipes from the muffler.

Hmmm. I would definitely ask the dealer to give you some tips lol.

You more than likely wont melt anything. I guess its not necessary to have any but im sure it doesnt look too great.

Not normal but a known issue when not installed properly. If you read around you will find other users who had the same issue. Sometimes hard to find the cause though. There was even a user who de-modded the car back to stock as he (The BMW workshop respectively) could not find anything wrong.
But it is not normal.

I'm running MPPSK with JB4 map 3 (99 RON) and an agency power intake. Dynoed at 443.2hp.

You can definitely feel a significant difference from just MPPSK however it also struggles a bit to get power down now unless the tyres are at temperature and it's bone dry and good road surface otherwise there's almost always wheelspin.

Wheel spin issue can be solved with x drive or Mickey Thompson drag radials and skinny tires up front like the dodge demon.

LOUD!

WOW! i had the MPPSK installed today. i've only driven it for a brief time and will have to give it more seat time... make no mistake - if you're thinking about this system - it IS LOUD AS HELL in SPORT mode! basically straight pipes.

i hope i don't regret adding the system as i will not be using sport mode as often going forward. and that means i don't get to enjoy the settings sport mode offers because the exhaust in sport may be too damn loud.

i wish there was a way to activate the straight-pipe-open-valved exhaust as a specific setting... sport would provide the increased throttle response, heavier steering, stiffer suspension. sport + would add the open exhaust. something like that.

is the MPPSK reversible if this is just something i cannot deal with?

Yes it is.

But remember you can modify Sport to exclude e.g. steering.
