Just noticed that there's now psdzdata 50.3 and Esys 3.23.4 - do I need a new token to be able to use the newer version of Esys or will the current one still be good for that?

Technically no, but you would need a new Patch, and since they come together, you would get a Token with a new Validity Period.

However, if you already have 3.22.5, there is no reason at all to update to 3.23.4. You will gain nothing.

Using newer PSdZData on a car programmed with older ISTA/P version buys you nothing. The car will still only be capable of the features programmed into it from the older ISTA/P version, unless you are going to flash the ECU's with the new 50.3 firmware.
OK Thanks,
I'll check with the new FW after BMW update with 6NR option.
If necessary I'll ask to you for new psdzdata.

2) No. It saves only a copy of your original FA (VO).

3) VO Code each ECU or your entire SVT with original factory FA (VO). DO NOT use the "CODE DEFAULTS" button in E-Sys, or you will regret it.
Shawn, for 3), what are the steps to do this. Is there a procedure somewhere? Thanks!

VO Code:
Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Right-Click on ECU (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

This will encode an entire ECU with all the parameters needed to support every option in your Vehicle Order.

You can VO Code the entire car one module at a time, or you could use Ctrl-Right-Click above and select multiple ECU's to Encode, or you could even Right-Click at the Top of your SVT where your VIN is showing, and encode the entire SVT (all ECU's). If you try and encode DME Module, or the entire SVT (which includes the DME module), the car can not be running during the encoding process.

Does TCM_LOGIC_R_OFF_DOOR = aktiv disable FH_TUERAUF_STOP_MAUT = nicht_aktiv?

i.e. If the car is coded to turn off the radio and navigation when the door is open, will it also stop the window up/down regardless the coding?

Is there a possibility to check what option effects what specific module?

Eg: 6NK -> only HU_NBT, etc

It's time up re-code my favorite options because the dealer has updated the car. (BTW, whatever level they used really improved ASS. Some -- not all -- stops are imperceptable. And re-starts are amazingly smooth.)

Could someone review for me the best way to update an older working Windows system (PSdZData 48.3 with ESys 3.18.4) to 50.3 and 3.23.4?

I searched this thread, but it's so large I couldn't find the posts that I think describe a process of simply re-installing ESys (and getting a new token, of course) and overlaying the entire psdzdata folder.

Would that still work?

Start over. Uninstall E-Sys 3.18.4 though the Control Panel, and delete the psdzdata folder (e.g. C:\ESysData\psdzdata). The following the installation instructions as if it was the first time.
