Exclamation Car Cutting Out

Has anyone experienced the sensation that their car was cutting out or feeling like it's not getting any fuel on cold mornings?? If so, what did it take to fix it? Before anyone asks, I do use Top Tier fuel with an octane rating of at least 92. Thanks in advance...

Under what driving circumstances are you noticing this? Do you mean the power delivery is not smooth?

Usually it's a cold morning. Maybe in the mid 30 to lower temperatures. It's when I first start it up and for a few minutes afterwards. Once the car warms up it seems to go away.

Yeah I've experienced this too, never paid much attention to it though because it does go away within 5 mins or so.

I suspect it's the DME affecting engine parameters based on engine temp...

Mine is fine. Only abnormality is on a very cold start (i.e. <+3C) where as the revs drop to 1k, there is a slight shudder but then picks itself up again. From above, I guess that is normal? Thought it quite unusual after more than 18 years of diesel cars which didn't exhibit this behaviour (E90 LCI 330d started beautifully at -18C) but now I've just grown accustomed to it.

Does this happen when u rev it? The colder it gets the thicker the oil is, so it should be normal that it feels sluggish for the first few minutes. Mine has started beautifully this whole winter and we´ve had temperatures down to -25 C, but never experienced anything that feels like its cutting out. I´ve never tried revving it above 3k rpm til temps have gone up to 90-95 (which you also shouldnt be doing) but it could be some engine or transmission logic not wanting you to rev too high and cause damage.
