My f30 335i order...when will it get here??? Plus a few questions.

I ordered an Alpine White 335i M-Sport and I've been waiting patiently. But now that it's so close I'm starting to have major "give me my car now" thoughts. I have a couple questions...

1. On BMWUSA.com my tracking has been sitting between "En Route to US" and "Finishing Touches" for a week. How long will it sit there? My CA is pretty much useless and always just say "I'll let you know" (which I knew going in but their price was WAY better than anyone else).

2. My MSRP was $51,520 and I'm getting Loyalty ($750), USAA ($1,000), and BMW App Confirmed Test Drive ($250) discounts. I'm leasing for 36 months at 15,000 miles per year with $2,000 total (taxes etc included) out of pocket. My monthly payment is $532 per month including taxes. What do you guys think of my deal?

3. This was all based on October figures. Has anything changed (money factor, discount increases, etc) that I should be aware of to sweeten my deal (I don't trust the CA to tell me)?

If "en route" is the last greyed out status, that means your car is now being shipped. This can take anywhere from 11 days to a few weeks, depending on which boat you're on and where it's sailing from (SA or EU). After it arrives it'll sit in port for a few days to a week or more for processing customs and last installation. Then it's shipped to your dealer for finishing up and delivery. So you got another month or so of waiting. Call your dealer and ask him which ship you're on. If he can't tell you, that means your car hasn't been loaded onto a ship yet, and is still waiting at the port of exit. Also, use the 1800 number, it's more accurate than the website (check the sticky topic in this forum for instructions).

Can't comment on your deal since I'm not leasing, but currently there is the holiday credit incentive, which is I believe $1000 off of a 3 series if financed through BMWNA.

$532 is a pretty damn good deal for 15k/year...money factors slightly changed from October but with the Holiday Cash it pretty much evens out.

With BMW you can be locked into incentives 60 days AFTER the program expires, OR if something better comes out at the time of delivery you can have those.

Well, I finally got a little info from my dealer. He says the car is on a boat and he expects it to be at the dealer by the 17th. Its coming into NJ from Germany so does anyone know what ship it might be on?

Using the 800 number and checking your VIN via the cargo shipping company will provide finer detail in tracking than the online BMW site. You should be able to find what ship you're on and if it's near a coast you can follow it's progress in near real time.

The sticky above is a bit dated but still pretty solid: Click Here

Doesn't seem bad at all, but more important than your monthly payment is what the final negotiated price was. My 335i had an MSRP of a little over 57k, negotiated price was 51240 - 650 over invoice - I could have gone down a little more to the typical 500 over invoice but I decided the extra 150 was not material to me, the dealer has to eat this price excludes the dealers 50 doc fee, and BMWFS's origination of 875 or something like that. Monthly payment is about 620 - no MSD's and only the aforementioned fees and first month out of pocket. I should also clarify that its ED. Same length and mileage as yours.

I agree with Ron, I have had much better luck tracking using the 800 number over the website. The CA has very fine detail beyond that but it sounds like yours isn't too interested in giving you that info. If you can at least get the VIN from them you can use that as a tracking number on a couple of the cargo vessel tracking sites - it's kind of fun to see exactly where your vehicle is on the ocean.

Ok, finally got my ship (I'm on the WW). It arrives in NJ on Thursday! My dealer is less than an hour from the NJ port so I'm hoping I'll have it by the middle of next week? Is that possible?

Mine's been sitting at the port since 11/29. It's going to Park Ave BMW in Rochelle Park, NJ. Still hasn't been released from the VPC.

Im on Aida and she arrives tomorrow. The worst part is that my dealer must have screwed up my order and put the wrong trim (Walnut instead of Aluminum Hexagon). They are trying to see if it can be fixed at port which i assume will hold up my delivery to an even more nauseating length. I sold my 2004 ZHP a week ago and rented (drum roll please) a Chevy Aveo. No power windows, locks, etc. The good news is that if it breaks down i can carry it home. Its also making me appreciate the features that my new 335i will have so much more than I would've otherwise.
