The reason 4cyl sound does not inspire... their performance was generally poor and uninspiring. Time to reset what you think you know.

Take one out again, put it in "sport" and open the throttle. Flick a couple gears and listen to the exhaust.

The least we can do is think outside the box here. BMW does for us!

It really is.

Not much of anything in the form of "documentary" on how the technical aspects of designing, building, and tuning the engine.
But it's a feel good video, and it works for that purpose.

The proof is in the pudding though, and when you drive an F30 328i you know BMW did a great job on creating this engine.

Absolutely! BTW, the California version of the N20 is known as the N26. It's a SULEV engine but has the same HP as the N20. The downpipe is different on the N26 vs the N20 so currently none of the exhaust systems that I know about will work on my car

I hope that changes soon because the 4 really does need some sound to go with the power!
