Smile Cheapest M Performance Parts

I spoke to a dealer who quoted roughly $8k to fit the Aero package onto a 328i. Pretty steep so I'm looking for alternatives.

Does anyone have experience sourcing these parts somewhere else and then having them fitted?

I hear that it's cheapest to source them from USA, but I don't know of a place that ships to Melbourne.

Once I have the parts, I don't want to fit them myself as I don't think I'd have the will to drill holes into my shiny new ride. Neither do I want to have it done by some random panel beater who has no previous experience with this kit. I wonder if the dealer would fit a kit that I supply myself?

Thoughts??

Ask Stuart from BMRAutowerkes, even if it is not listed in the thread on here. He can get quite a few items for a good price.

Why don't you guys try your local dealer?
I found that mine was actually cheaper than what i could source overseas and locally.

I think the 8k price the OP got quoted is excessive as its all inclusive. Just buy the parts locally and get it painted and fitted yourself.

Could you give me Stuart's contact details? Is he in Melbourne? I might give him a buzz tomorrow.

If you don't mind me asking minijet, how much did each part you got cost? Sounds like you got them from your dealer. Did you get them to fit them for you as well?

For the Alcantara interior and M Performance pedals my dealer quoted $1990. Stuart Quoted $1080 delivered.

He is in Sydney, so if you want items installed professionally, you could still get your dealer to install the items.

What you will find is the dealer is charging stupid money for the labour. Ask for supply cost only you might be surprised. I have found my dealer to be very competitive on these parts. Particularly if it was dealer I bought my car from. Also remember if you buy this stuff at purchase of your car they have to include luxury car tax. So you need to purchase after you take delivery
