Hi. Will new software be needed to code for F80 M3 and F82 M4?

Coding software is not model specific.

For any car, you need PSdZData version >= to the last version of ISTA/P used to program the car.

A 2009 Fxx programmed yesterday would need the newest PSdZData for coding, just the same as a brand new 2014 Fxx arriving on the boat.

If you didn't set this coding value, then I would just VO code your HU_CIC back to factory defaults and see if that clears the issue.
Man thanks for the reply! I was trying to change that but I was not sure by the time. I lost my note for what i have coded. I will try to deactive it later. And could you please let know if bmap_juction_view is default by nich_aktv or aktv?

Thanks a lot Frogman

So the only way to get this software to work is to pay a random guy for a token?

Well, no. If you are good with Encryption and Java, you can always make your own.

And incidentally, both the main sellers are hardly "random". They are fellow forum users like you, and have been doing this a long time. If there was an issue with either one of them, you would have read about it by now.

Thanks. I did find that thread.
I didn't mean "random" in a bad way by the way.

With GT1, INPA, winkfp, etc.... I've been helping people obtain and install that software for years at no charge. I found it a bit odd that guys are profiting off a java script.

Thanks Shawn. Do I understand correctly that we will need to wait for new PSdZdata in order to code the new F8x cars? Thanks.

I did not say that.

I said you need PSdZData >= to the last version of ISTA/P used to program the car.

I have no idea what version of ISTA/P these cars will be programmed with, but I venture to guess it will be at least 52.2.

I'm interested in coding my vehicle to the shorter maintenance schedule. Assuming I have the updated files, I add 8KL to VO but not sure what individual parameters need changing in FEM_BoDY, Kombi, etc for a CIC based car. Can someone help? Thanks.

If your plan is to change "individual parameters", then you would not be adding anything to VO. The whole purpose of adding Option Code to FA, is to VO Code the car, and let it determine and make the individual parameter changes needed to support the added Option Code.
