Jb4 and light up in dash

Hi guys!

Just got my JB4 install 3 days ago! I also had the borla exhaus installed at the same time and 3 weeks ago installed my BMS intake. So everything was running fine until last night.. started the car and it began to buck.. 10-12 sec of bucking and it ran fine.. let the car warm up for 10 min because it was -15 degrés outside. Entering in the car and put it to drive, I've put the sport+ mode and 3km later, car popped a brake system problem and stability control.. here is the light in dash (sorry for the French, I'm from quebec)

So started the car this morning and, car bucked again, and ran off with drivetrain malfunction.. same light again for the brake and stability system.. I've try to read code with my OBDII..

I read that maybe taking off the MAF would correct the drivetrain problem but what about the rest?

Anyone could help?

Thanks

If it was tuning or JB4 related you'd have DME fault codes, so looks like some other stability control issue with the car.

But JB4 is in autoclear code for now... I don't have thé OBD jb4, it has been put with laptop on map 1. Car is still on warranty so first thing I should do it take off JB4 and see if problem is solve, if not, go to the dealer?

When I installed the jb4 I had the stability control turn on also. Drove for 2-3 minutes and it went away and never came back. Only happens when I disconnect and reconnect the battery. Guessing it's normal.

Before doing anything I'd update it to OBDII... posi-taps are very obsoleted. Maybe a loose connection there or something could be related to this?

I didn't drove the car very long after it popped on the dash. But is it normal to get a drivetrain problem after 3 days of running JB4 on the car? And everything was fine until it start bucking on start up, mais ran off... now I just can't start the car without bucking and turning off automatically... would I take off the negative on the battery, check all JB4 connection and replut battery on? Is it a common problem?

I know some have drivetrain issue but it's right after installation..

Make sure all the connections are tight and make sure you didn't mix any connectors up. Also if you have an intake unplug your MAF sensor. It'll run smoother.

Well... ok I assume that, it's my fault! Intake wasn't plug well and after a couple weeks, decide to unplug.

I want for a road test and everything is fine! But stability light and brake are still on. I can't put the car on sport mode.. I don't know why!

Unplug the battery. Then drive around in comfort mode for a little. Eventually when you come to a stop it should go away by itself.

Assuming your brake fluid was low--seems like something that needs attention. That is a sealed system.

last week, i had an appointment at the dealer for Brake Fluid flush. Today we've checked under the car and nothing seems wrong with the fluid bowl. I assume the dealer didn't put enough because the filter on the top on the bowl was a bit rough and fluid didn't go through easily. Guy probably assume it was full because fluid wasn't passing through filter and didn't look at the bowl to see exactly how much fluid was missing...

That is my theory! It's not because he work at BMW that they are obviously better than others :P and Error is human being so..

Glad you told me that--my car is at the dealer today and one of the items they are doing is a brake fluid flush. I will check when I get back.
