F30 335 M Sport questions

Hi guys,

Am shortly planning to pull the trigger on my upgrade from a 135i M Sport to a 335i M Sport. The following are the options I have selected:

Variable Sport Steering
Comfort Access System
Rear View Camera
Glass sunroof
Interior & exterior mirrors with automatic anti-dazzle function
High-Beam Assist
Lane Change Warning system.
Active Cruise Control
Surround View incl Top View & Side View
Adaptive headlights with High-Beam Assist.
Music interface for Smartphones
BMW Head-Up Display
DAB+ digital radio tuner

The following are other options selected:

M-Sport PackageAdaptive M Sport Suspension
M-Sport Brakes Option
BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue
BMW Individual Merino Leather with Black Dash
Aluminium Hexagon with Estori Blue Matt Highlights

My questions for Aussies who have done this before are:

Is the Tanzanite Blue available - I am getting conflicting info, the configurator allows it, but the price list doesn't show it? I went for this colour as I think the Estori is a bit light, but interested in comments. Do you think the Estori Blue Matt highlights will suit the Tanzanite Blue exterior?

Re the leather, again, is the BMW Individual Merino available here? Agaion, I am getting conflicting info. I've read up on the differences in the standard leather vs the Merino leather, anyone gone the Merino leather that can comment?

I am now talking to the 2 BMW dealers in WA, thanks to previous feedback and will also email some eastern states dealers too.

Finally, I like the coupe's, but I expect the change up to the 4 series will also result in a price jump and don't particularly want to be the first again (I went through all the issues on my 2008 135i).

Feedback welcomed.

Simon....

On the spec/pricing sheet I have seen for the F30 the Tanzanite is listed as available in Aust for $3600, rather than the $1840 (?) for normal metallic.

It does look nice, and should prove a little bit more unique but I have read a few posts where some complained it can look very dark (almost black) in certain light conditions.

The Merino is also shown as a $2000 upgrade for the 335i (or $5k) for lesser models. Not sure of the differences as I haven't seen one in the flesh.

See thread below for a few nice snaps of a Tanzanite M-sport with the individual leather.

Thanks Blue75, looks nice. I guess I'll have problems trying to find a sample in Perth by the look of that! The price sheet I have doesn't show either, but that doesn't mean a lot.

minijet, haha - how do you like it? Come on, you know you do... :-)

I just downloaded the BMW Individual iPad app and it's damn depressing seeing what interior options are available to European buyers, but not available here :-(

Just got the quote from AC, interesting (in a good way). I need to do some work on the spreadsheet and get it double checked, but a promising start - against expectations.

WC haven't called me yet after I contacted the recommended sales person yesterday - he called me almost straight away, but doesn't work their any more and said he'd get one of the other guys to call me.

It might be best to get in contact with WC yourself. The recommended salesperson's decision notto work there anymore may not have been his own, so may not be inclined to pass on a referral.

Rjr058, he was quite happy to when I spoke to him. Anyway, will do. I'm still trying to work out the catch with the quote I got from AC this arvo. Wondering why I got such a big discount on options, surely the price list they hand out isn't more than RRP? I'm a suspicious bastard, I know.

omg, thats quite a few of options. how much would this cost on road for a 335i? wouldn't you be better of buying a M3?

Ninjaoz, you may well be correct. Driveaway is currently priced at around $127K. Not bad for a base price of $77K :-(

I haven't looked at M3 pricing, because it was outside my comfort zone, but maybe I need to!
