Look, you too can become a happier person.
Just go ahead and get the car you really want, the BMW 3 series.
If you didn't lust for it, then why would you be here trying to make your Lexus selection seem "better"? Hmm...?

I've never read a single review that stated the F30 "sucks", dynamic or otherwise.
Your use of "everyone" is hyperbole, or more so, flat out false.

Perhaps your source material is from people who haven't driven an F30 and/or look for reasons not to get an F30.
All of the negative comments about how much the F30 "sucks" come from non BMW owners, and E90 owners.
Give it up already.

Talking about flaws in the F30 interior.

This is a picture of the passengerside front door of a 320d EDE sportline @ my dealer.

You can see the exterior colour(silvergray) where the arrow is pointing at...

I'm happy I chose a dark colour(BSM)

Cheers

Seems like This thread will be the F30's hall of shame!

Let's gather here the "7" errors of the car...

I wonder what else is imperfect about my car...
but am still waiting a few more days before getting my car...

That happened to my E46 as well, but they did fix it even out of warranty... Every car company has some minor fit and finish issues...

Correction...every review of the F30 without sport line seems to say that it isn't as good as it used to be dynamic wise...not really a bad thing since BMW is obviously going a different direction with this car.

Every 3er has had that same part of the door exposed from the interior...its sort of a BMW thing.

My E46 is like that a little bit too. I don't think that is anything new to the F30.

you have it in other cars as well.
as for fit and finish so far no issue in my series 3 (although i had on my f20), but clearly bmw is behind audi, the problem is that the driving gap is also narrowing, with audi a3 , 4 etc being seen, evaluated as procuring as much or almost "joy" to drive than bimmers. bmw has to be careful as it can not loose in all fronts..

now talking about doors, if you push the plastics in the lower part of the door, it feels somewhat loose and generates some noises, not very reassuring..

That's kind of disappointing for sure, leave your car in the sun, find it falling apart ... BMW is the new Lancia ?

Seriously though, that's probably a manufacturing defect on that car that just manifested itself with the heat, hence it happened on a "6 month old car". Unless you want to believe all F30 will self disassemble in a year.

My car has always done this. Its a habit for me to push it back in the morning. It has nothing to do with the heat but rather a broken clip. I've been meaning to bring it in. But frankly I hate my dealer and don't want to spend the time.

This doesn't surprise me. When I went to the dealer and looked at the f30. I thought the inside finish felt cheap. The f30 inside doesn't feel solid for a $50k car. I thought the e90 was built better inside.

I agree, if you push on the interior trims and panels of the F30, some of them will make a squeaking noise or crackling noise, whereas the E90 is solid. This might be due to the increase use of hard plastic in the F30's interior.
