VERY exciting for you. Just adds fuel to my fire. Just allow customs time, cleanup & dealer delivery. Not long to go now. One of the very first F30 M-Sports in Australia.

Thanks.

Same here mate.. I had to track it myself and tell them when it's arriving at the docks. I think on their end they will only know will only let us know when the car arrives at their door step.

I'll post some photos but they wont be fancy I dont have a DSLR. I'll see if I can buy a cheap one at BIGW lol

Drk280 i used the ship tracking site. http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/ Put in your ships name.

Hey, looks like your car is on the same vessel as mine - It wasn't a busy time at work this arvo, so was tracking the ship and look what I found. And then photoshopped some comments for an email to the girlfriend.
(I feel like I'm almost as bad as those Apple fanbois who camped out for the new iPhone.)

Let us know if you get a call from your dealer. Apparently I was reading on their shipping website that they sent their clients notification that their cars are on the way 4 days before arrival at their destination.

Dealer gave me a rubbish price for mine as well. But that was months ago and I couldn't blame them for that.

As to selling your car, make sure that the new one is all good first. Certainly prep you car for sale as I am with mine, but if you can do without your current car till your new one comes, then why wait.

Going off topic a little, I have been monitoring carsales and note some wildly fluctuating prices for a car like mine. Neither rhyme nor reason for it. Oh well, I'm putting in a reasonable amount of money into making my car as good as possible for sale - new tyres, wheel buffing, removing paint scuffs, waxing etc. Just so a buyer can pay and drive a truly great car.

Best wishes for a quick turn around with your new car. Mine is hot on your heels, mid Atlantic currently, honing in fast on Freemantle before its arrival in Melbourne on 2nd October.

Strange thing with the ship tracking website my car is on the ship called Faust and when you put that name in it shows that the ship is between Italy and Egypt in the Mediterranean Sea.

Same thing happened with me and the Undine, try searching for "Faust roro", meaning roll on roll off.

Ya happened to me as well. Try doing this.. when I keyed in the full name UNDINE some weird ships would appear. Not the one my car was on. So what I did was i tried keying in UND and let the ships which had names like "UND.." pop up automatically on the list and bam there she was.

Your right there David I've seen a very big difference in pricing on carsales I would find the price gap almost 10k apart between similar models.

In any case.. My dealer was quite apologetic that he could not offer me a good trade in price. He explained that BMW sells to wholesalers if they do not have room to sell it as floor stock. (No idea how true that is).

I remember back when we got a great trade in value for our toyota at a honda dealer, weird ey.

So far I only know of a few people in melbourne who are getting the m sport, I reckon our Melb F30 gathering could be bigger than the one they had at Toronto

Dealer is giving me a $72k trade in on the 2010 X5 with 22000 k's on it.. gonna miss the X5 roomy interior, but really need a smaller car for ease of parking etc.

On another note, the ship tracking seems difficult, tried both suggestions but nothing came up.. even searched for undine and it showed that ship to be in the north sea of Denmark, maybe the site is like a few months out of date with its data when i do the search.
