You can't use Bimmercode for VO coding which would be easy to change just one code instead of the multiple lines to adjust when going the FDL route. The plus side is that the interface is easier to use.

Ok cool, looks like i’m learning a wee bit at last! In fact I think i’m Going to try VO coding with esys, as long as I can find a good tutorial on backing up and restoring if all goes wrong! If anyone knows of a good one please let me know, thanks.

Unfortunately I haven't figured this out, I updated my car's software and it didn't fix the issue either. I can still only see Contacts via the Office view. Have you made progress on it?

I have a 2014 328d with nav and regular Bluetooth and after following Bestia's list on page 1 successfully coded enhanced BT with bimmercode. Everything seems to work fine.

I also did the two steps that Sulis recommend in step 4 on page 1:

There are two recommended changes to Bestia’s list! The HU_NBT > HMI 3000 > SYSTEM_TTS should be ‘aktiv’, as should CE_DEVICE_SPEECH_RECOGNITION otherwise you lose the voice button on the steering wheel!

I did make notes of the fields that were different in my car.. I'll see I can figure out how to post that image.

I've been looking for a solution for months to try and change my F30 to enhanced Bluetooth to enable audio streaming, only problem is I don't have a Combox. Will the coding work without one? Is there any other workaround?

I'd be keen to know the same as Richard. My 2012 F31 hasn't got the Combox and just the base head unit. Am I wasting my time trying or is it possible to enable the BT Streaming. I'd also like to be able to display track info for radio broadcasts if that's possible too.

It’s definately possible, I have HU_CICHB with No combox and had a play in bimmer code I got Bluetooth audio enabled which now shows but can’t get it to work so I must be missing something. Every time i click on my device nothing happens. Anyone with a similar system get it to work?

Just coded my 330D with BimmerCode and enabled Enhanced Bluetooth which works fine, although I too lost voice commands.

"HU_NBT > HMI 3000 > SYSTEM_TTS" & "CE_DEVICE_SPEECH_RECOGNITION" are both ‘aktiv’. I'll double check again later.

Also managed to add:-
Digital Speedo
Video through USB.
M-Performance startup graphics.
Removed startup warnings.
Changed warning tones to Rolls Royce.

Just need to work out how to remove hazard lights flashing when ABS comes on.

This line was wrong:-

It should be aktiv.

Now I have Enhanced Bluetooth and working voice commands.

I’ve been trying to get enhanced Bluetooth working on my 2012 F30 HU_CICHB without combox as well. I have an issue where I cannot code anything in the HMI 3000 section, it always returns coding errors and returns faulty coding data so I have to restore from backup and try again. I am able to set all options in TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE 3003 except API_TYPE, DATACOM_INTERFACE, and PHONE_TYPE since there is no combox. I also had to enable A2DP_PROFILE in this section. Bluetooth audio options show up in the idrive interface (phone settings and input selection) but I cannot select Bluetooth as the selected audio input (grayed out). My iPhone can see the BMW Bluetooth interface and output to it, I just cannot select it in idrive, very frustrating. I am assuming that the HMI 3000 options I am unable to set are the culprit.

Anyone had more luck than this?

Mines shows Bluetooth and you can select it but nothing happens when you select the paired phone, I actually haven’t tried it again since I first tried to code it. Has anyone actually managed to get this work?

Hello guys, i coded last night all the stuff in the initial post and i obtained sonething but i think i'm sill missing sonething else:
I suppose i got the multiple bt connection because now my phone has a little "1" next to the icon, but i still don't have contact images.
Moreover appered "office" in the main menu, inside I got contacts and msgs (and mails?) that i think is everything possible right?
My phone still has only the possibility to share phone calls and music, is this correct?
