So it looks like I will be changing my username.

Coming from an AW E92 (I'm gonna miss her so much) - I wasn't excited when the 4 initially came out but after seeing it in person I was sold. Furthermore, the aesthetics that are maintained in the Gran Coupe add the cherry on top.

Dealer said it's gonna take approx 6-8 weeks to build. SO i will keep you all posted.
Looking to get more involved as well.

I figured. That makes a little more sense. I am currently planning a a 4 GC build, 6 - 8 months would put it out past the end of my current lease if I ordered right now!

I imagine the wait will suck, but be worth it.

Its gonna be more than 6-8 weeks. They told me the same thing, but the way things are going and considering other peoples build times, it's probably gonna be closer to 10-12 weeks.

Look at the way other peoples builds are going. They're taking much longer than that. In the build thread theres even a guy who ordered in August and is still waiting to be built. I don't know if theres a backup at the factory or what, but very few cars are getting done in 6-8 weeks.

a lot of people are also waiting on m-sport brakes...thats why a lot of cars are delayed

Is that what's holding it up? Guess mine will be delayed too then.

EDIT: Just came from the dealer. My production is scheduled for the last week in November, on a 10/16 order. Figure about a week to build, and that brings us to December. No idea how long it takes to ship cars over here, but 8-10 weeks is looking pretty accurate.
