340i order
OK, I'm ordering tomorrow (god help me). Could you guys look over this and see any obvious, or not so obvious, mistakes or over sights.
This is for a 2016 340i build! 475 Metallic Sapphire Metallic LCL8 Black Dakota Leather with Dark Oyster Highlight ZCW Cold Weather Package ZDA Drivers Assistance Package ZLP Lighting Package ZMP M Sport Package 21C 19" light Alloy Wheel Style 442 Orbit Grey 4GA Ash Grain wood trim with metal inlay and pearl gloss chrome ZPP Premium Package ZTP Technology Package ZTR Track Handling Package 5DL Side and Top view Cameras 688 Harman Kardon 6NS enhanced USB ZMT Manual Two questions: 1.) Is there only Black with oyster highlights - there isn't just black? I'm trying to get my mind around this look. 2.) The ordering guide seems to suggest that you get the 19" orbit grey with the ZMP (M-Sport) at no cost. But later in the ZTP (Technology Package) it says it's $900 with no disclaimer. WTF,Which is it???? Cost adds to $59,350. Dealer is saying $2,000 off, ~58% residual (sucks - it has not been set by BMW yet). I'm asking for $2,200 for tire and dent warranty ($61/month), ~3.5% finance (MF: 0.0000146) 15,000 miles/year Tell me what you think! Flame away! At $60K, it isn't a 320. I'm guessing a 435..and doubtful a Vert would come with the track package..but you never know..lol

-Pay for 704 dampers, then pay again to replace them with Adaptive dampers -Pay for Pilot Super Sport go-flat tires, then pay again to replace them with 19" run-flats Overall, you still end up with great options, just philosophically I have a hard time paying for a feature then paying again to remove it. ZTR by itself (no ZMP or 19s) is a stellar value, and you can always swap the steering wheel to the M-sport or M-performance for minimal cost. Similarly, ZMP by itself is a decent value on the 340i, although it's still a lot of money for some plastic bits, a different steering wheel, and some more cooling bits. |

That is going to be a seriously nice ride! Interesting that you can have the Oyster highlight!
I'm not a big black fan - for me - I would probably lighten up to a Mineral Grey. But when it comes to colour - there are no wrong choices - just individual taste. |

$2,200 for tire/dent warranty? Put $61 a month in a bank account and save it.
Otherwise looks great |

The tire and dent is a bunch of money, I agree. But I'll say this, on my current 2012 328i, I've popped 6 tires and had to replace three rims. On the dents, I've had about 4 dents taken out. I haven't done the calculations to see if that $2,400 saves me money, but it does give me piece of mind and a nice dentless car

In similar stage of ordering for a 340. Debating if ZLP really adds value as standard is already LED.
I know the ZLP is "adaptive". However, it dose not have the beam pattern change functions as it's EU version. Hence, the U.S. "Adoptive" are auto high beam and Turing with steering - which I current have on my 335, not a "wow" to me. I know it's just an $800 option. |

MG or MB for a 340?
My current 335 is MG and like the color, I had an E46 in Topaz Blue and loved it, too. All the subsequent BMW Blues were not to my taste so settled for silver gray on my E90. Q: anyone has seen a MB in person? How is it compared to TB? Thanks |
