World's Best "Minivan"

Yes, that’s 3 kids in the back of my new 2015 xDrive 335 . It’s snug, but doable…. and the kids love the Laguna Seca Blue.

Who needs a minivan??

Thanks. And not sure yet about the front lip - I live in the city, and the roads around here get plowed really quick so the snow doesn't really get that deep (and when it does I can drive the Highlander pictured in the back).

Awesome - I'm thinking of doing the same come next summer with my F31. Diono Radian seats? What infant carrier is that?

Thanks,
Michael

Yup, the two big ones are Diono Radians (RDX I think). The infant carrier is a Peg Perego Primo Viagio.

Frankly I'm not crazy about the Diono seats - they're a real pain to move between vehicles and awkward to install. There also a bit bulky. Today I would buy a couple of these Clek Foonfs - a little smaller but much easier to install: http://clekinc.ca/foonf/

Smaller is good, these cars are not that large (which is a good thing for driving in them!). The Clek Foonf looks cool, much more modern.

I'll have to take a look at these, and see if my Britax Chaperone fits with 2 of these in the back.

So I replaced our two enormous Recaro ProRides with two Diono Radian RXT car seats for my 2 and 4 year olds, and installed the Britax Chaperone for our new one due next month. Three across is a tight fit, but it works if you have 3 kids to transport in the back of a 3 series wagon. Hint - install the Diono in the middle first and use seat belts instead of LATCH.

Went with the Diono due to price - the Foonf is nice, but too expensive... I'll post some photos in the next couple of days for the proof but it definitely works.

This is the best news I've seen all week! I have my second kid coming in August and wasn't sure if I'd have to give up the F30 if a third happens. Already showed the wife that it's possible.
