++F36 sub enclosure and amp rack++

I haven't posted much on the forums; life and work have been crazy! That said, I wanted to share some updates to the hatch area of the GC. I've made a few variants of these now, but this latest enclosure is 8mm thick (slight overkill) with a beauty ring to hide the mounting hardware on the subwoofer. The sub is an Oz Audio OzV10.25 10". I was a huge fan of the old school Oz stuff from the 90's, so I was really curious to see how the new stuff performed.

The amp rack is under the floor, housing a Zapco ST-X compact chassis amp, and Kicker's summing loc. The summing wasn't necessary, but this piece can handle up to 40v input, so it does the trick well for the HK system. Anyways... here's a few pics of the finished product. Hope ya dig! 🎶

Very nice! QUESTION: How hot does the Zapco get on a summer day? My JL XD800 can fry eggs.

Thanks! It's really done surprisingly well. I've used a couple of Alpine PDX micro chassis, and got a good amount of heat of them as well. This thing is running at 2 ohm, and has yet to be something too hot to lay my hand on.

Very well done! I'll be working on a sealed enclosure when I have a minute...

Looks great. Questions and comments:

Fuel filler and battery is on that side... Probably more room on the driver's side.

How did you mount the enclosure to the body of the car? Is it able to be removed without tools?

Did you modify the inner trunk panel?

How much interior air volume were you able to retain in the enclosure?

Thanks for the questions! The F36 is actually ideal on the passenger side only. The battery is actually sunken into the floor, so the space at floor height and above is a vacant cavity. The driver side has your tool kit, stock amplifier and the motor to your hatch. There's actually very little room there.

I remove the battery try and the enclosure replaces it. So the panel is unharmed and can be replaced if you decide to return to stock.

The enclosure sits in a floor groove and pressure fits into the wall. My current one has roughly .7 cu ft, but most of the ones I make are closer to .5-.6 to run 10w6v3's in. They like .55 cu ft, which works out well.

Hope I answered everything! Here's a few additional pic of different variations of them.
