Most Fun Windy Road You Driven On
Today I was driving up around newton and came across this incredible stretch of road that I found extremely fun to drive on due to it many curves and slight hills.
here a link I used two deli as the start and end point. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/E+%2...41.0850944!3e0 Post your favorite roads to cruise on |

I loved driving in Upstate NY a couple of weeks ago during beautiful foliage time. The one I liked a lot was the road through Harriman State Park. It's just like you said: curvy, slight hills and downhills, just switch to a Sport mode and enjoy the ride..)
PS watch for people and wildlife though |

Let's say I drive to your "Real upstate", are you going to tour guide for me? Show me some of these sick roads? I'd actually love to make a trip out of something like this, maybe a Saturday into Sunday type of thing.

Honestly to us folks from Long Island everything past Westchester might as well be "Upstate"

NY 104 from Rochester to Oswego is nice - not terribly curvy, but some great Lake Ontario views.
Down south, there are some roads around Cooperstown that are fantastic. NY-30 in the Catskills is fantastic. NY-97 along the upper Delaware is great. NY-17 between BHM and Monticello was once rated the USA's most scenic highway. |

Nothing I can think of near NYC were you can not be stuck in traffic. However when I was in college in update NY I found 2 really nice short but exciting roads near the Utica area with the BMW Ultimate Drive app.
1st one is RT 171 from the start of Gulf Rd where it turns to South Litchfield Street when entering the city of Frankfurt from the south. This is the best road I have ever been on in NY. 2nd one is close by but not as good as the 1st. This is RT 51 from Otsego St exiting the south of the city of Ilion down to the intersection of Wall St and Cedarville Rd. |

Close to NYC the funnest for me is the sawmill parkway. The Taconic has too many other cars on it, especially the ones with lights on top.

Check out long valley, hackettstown and surrounding areas. Roads are beautiful this time of year. But I agree with the above poster watch for people and cyclicts. So many of them in NJ.

Storm kings highway on the Hudson Valley. With a name like that... its gotta be awesome. Breathtaking views on this windy mountain road overlooking the hudson during autumn season.
