As M4s go..

This is as near damn perfect as they get.

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1412081

I'll be honest as much as I like mine and obviously any Ms if it came down to it and I had the cash I would probably opt for an amg product over an m3/4. However the m4cs is stunning and when it looks like that then just wow.

The Ms look better imo but the AMGs outpower them and are far nicer inside.

These cars look amazing but whenever I hear one I'm left think what the hell is that fart sound coming from the back end.

I went to the bmw show at gaydon over the weekend and to be honest they sounded awful compared to some of the older bmw's there.

No offence intended just my personal opinion

I saw a CS on display earlier in year, it looks spot on and changed my thought process on the M4 as before I was totally turned off.

Previously I'd have said:-

AMG exhaust
RS Quattro
M Car everything else, but ebb new M5 to finally be revealed this month shakes that up a bit.

M4CS should look and sound great for £90k. Ridiculous amount of money IMO

Indeed, I'm sure the new M5 will be cheaper.

And I know which one would be better value for the car you get.

£90k is a joke.

C63S and a Caterham for the same money.

All depends what you enjoy, your M3 is miles more entertaining to drive than the out going M5 you "get" a lot more enjoyment from an M3 than an M5.

The M4CS is better still so I'm not sure the new AWD F90 will be more entertaining myself of course it could be but I very much doubt it, AWD and the ZF8....hmmmm.

Ok point taken! I've not been in an M5.

Insane pricing.

I expect a few to be taken up early doors by enthusiasts etc but really dealers will each have these in the shop floor in a few months time. £92k for the 'almost ultimate' (it's still not a GTS) incarnation of the 3 series platform (4 come from the 3, allow me a little license) is utter madness pricing. Only those after a bizarre one car policy which has to be über sporty would go for it, otherwise a 911 GTS surely makes infinite more sense?

Infant you could get an M2 (46) and mod it to hell over time & an x5 (46) for the money!

Simple decision. Do you want a precision performance machine with an appropriate amount of tech & creature comforts. Or super luxury with excessive horsepower. In the motorbike world it's going back to manageable hp so you can fully enjoy the power band.

I think BMWs have stayed pretty consistent with there evolution. I like'm a lot.
