Glad i specced heated seats already!

It is a bit sad that i need them at this time of year but as i refuse to wear a jumper in August, they have been needed to take the chill off the leather these past two mornings!

Lol, yes they do come in to their own at times.

Used mine last week for a v early drive.

Also I don't actually own a jumper or cardigan etc, not bought one since I was a teenager.....

However heated seats are a must with leather and just add that extra comfort level and brat for bad backs.

They also allow you to turn the air temps down, but still keep cosy.

I've not specced heated seats on my upcoming car. Maybe a mistake....hmm.

I had them in my alfa a few years ago, and constantly found I was either cold or burning my bum off...in the end I left them off most of the time.

Most folk in Scotland I know don't use the air con at all.. too worried about it's minuscule effect on fuel economy!

Did the alfa have different settings? BMW's have 3 different levels for them.

I have had mine on 1 a few times in the last week at 5:30 am, and yes its to ease my back rather than because im cold.

i have never left my heated seat on 3, that is bonkers to the point of burning!

Yes...the Alfa had three settings "Off", "On" and "You've left your heated seat on for more than 5 minutes and your car is now on fire"

Was an Alfa after all

I was torn on whether to spec it...along with comfort entry it was something that was more on my "nice to have" than essentials list...

I went 330d rather than 320d and had to make a few savings on spec somewhere as a result.
