E85 quick questions

so I have been thinking of adding a downpipe to my car and jb4

Now I have some questions about e85
First main question is would I be able to one day run e85 and once that tank finishes run regular 91 fuel

Because right now all I pump in my car is 91 all day everyday

another question is
Is it harmful on my motor / hpfp if you just randomly put e85 one day out of the week ?

hope I can get some help thanks you guys

E85 = bad for your motor. Too much ethanol. Don't fool with it.

you can't just put E85 in any car
(well, i guess you could ... if you didn't care about the consequences)

your car needs to be tuned to run on E85 or E15 or whatever mixture
or have a flex fuel management so you can use either ethanol or regular gas

First off...unless you upgrade your HPFP you will never put in more than 5 or 6 gallons of e85. And unless you have a tune it is not going to do anything exciting as far as performance. As far as it being bad for the car, using small amounts has not shown to degrade the system. This has been widely discussed on N54 tech.

Many people have been running small amounts of e85 for many years. Since I have been reading these forums for more than two years I have not seen one instance where e85 has done damage to a car--the people at BMS/fuel it have said over and over that the fuel lines do not corrode from ethanol and they are the ones that sell the fuel pumps designed for full e85 useage. I personally use about 4 gal most weeks and have so for more than a year. The stuff really makes a tuned car jump.

Added some CITGO E26-E30 blend of E85 and the results were impressive against my friends ECU Flash Tuned Dinan Intake/Intercooler and Catted DP 400whp/450wtq
here my avg_ign was happy at 1.9-2.4 on map2

I could imagine how much better when I get ECU Flash and do the same E30 blend since the piggy(JB4) is only tricking and not going to be consistent run after run.

Once in a while I have to run 2-3 straight tank of 91 to get the cleaning from the detergent as some how performance degraded over time of constant use. Then it's back to insane mode

it changes your exhaust note a lot due to a lot of advance timing.

Turbo spools way to fast and makes daily driving annoying sometimes. Torque on 91 is much better and smoother. E85 makes it feels like a single turbo Supra...lots of spool then omg gonna read end someone lift off moment. also works the wastegate a lot due to the fast spool causing a lot of throttle closure to control it. leads to wear/rattle.

WOT no issues at all. you will not believe the difference. I does better then 100 on repeated runs too. Cooler burn.

That's my 2 cent.
I'm not sure on it. it's great. but I do notice things over the long haul. on the fly option would be best.

Based on 20k combined
