I bet it's EGR. My march 2017 320d had the exact same issue and no dash lights. Diagnosed as faulty EGR and replaced at around 19000miles. Car now on 35000 miles and doing it again.

Due to the fact it seems intermittent and only when I hover around the 40-50mph mark, it's not bothering me too much at present. Although now I have read this post, when it does occur, it does stand out more.

I guess I will monitor for now and see how it goes. If it get's on my nerves before the next service (Dec), then I will speak to my local garage and see whether it's worth them taking a look.

Keep us posted.

I experienced it this morning on a roundabout, it was almost as if someone tried to pull the car backwards momentarily.

Back in to dealers today just had a call from them saying another faulty egr valve.
Thats two now only 19000 miles on clock, whats going on with these?
Not picked it up yet but they say its driving fine now so thats good to hear.
Fingers crossed this one lasts longer as my warranty runs out in December

If you've only done 19k in 2 and a half years maybe a diesel i8snt for you ?

Modern diesels dont like short runs that's for sure

I am not sure that is the reason!
I have driven an X3 (2.0d) for the last 5/6yrs without any issues and that has only done 38k (62 reg).
Diesel was the only option at the time, as the F25 was not available in petrol.

Doesn't sound good!
I guess I will be looking to extend my warranty when the time comes.
