I bet it's EGR. My march 2017 320d had the exact same issue and no dash lights. Diagnosed as faulty EGR and replaced at around 19000miles. Car now on 35000 miles and doing it again.

I guess I will monitor for now and see how it goes. If it get's on my nerves before the next service (Dec), then I will speak to my local garage and see whether it's worth them taking a look. |

Quick update on my car,
Back in to dealers today just had a call from them saying another faulty egr valve. Thats two now only 19000 miles on clock, whats going on with these? Not picked it up yet but they say its driving fine now so thats good to hear. Fingers crossed this one lasts longer as my warranty runs out in December |

I have driven an X3 (2.0d) for the last 5/6yrs without any issues and that has only done 38k (62 reg). Diesel was the only option at the time, as the F25 was not available in petrol. |
