I've been thinking. How often does BMW update the ecu? Differently said, how often do we need to re-code all the changes?

As always, it depends.

They usually don't update the ECU software unless you either report an issue that would require it, or there is an mandatory update designated by BMW.
There was a mandatory update for mine when I took it in for the 30K service last month.

It's hit or miss. I know some people specifically request that the car not be updated. Sometimes that works, sometimes not.

I'll stay until everyone who wants coding is coded.

These meets usually run until 11:30 or so depending on how many people show up.

When we're done, we usually find some place to get lunch. There are many choices in that area.
