Frogman, thank you so much for what you do for the BMW community!
You're a true enthusiast! Many of us are lucky to have someone who will help others on his own time! This coding stuff is kinda above my head but he made the process easy to comprehend and explained what was going on like a true pro. Thanks again! |

Frogman,
A huge THANKS for coming down from Thousand Oaks this morning to help to do this for all of us! I only wish I could've stuck around to the end to buy you lunch (or booze). BTW I got my computer up and running again so the next time there's a meet, I'll show up just to make sure you're fed when it's over. |

Thanks Tom,
I really appreciate you organizing the meet. Thanks Matt for helping me go through the Esys program. I love my new updates. Still a no go on the Launch control though. I drove back to San Diego, no ASS, and tried it here. In sports+ mode, Gear selector moved to S, Full brakes, full gas, but no launch flag. I ended up spinning out the rears a bit on the start when I released the brakes. I tried a couple times, no go. Any tips??? Thanks, Michael |

I've seen reports of Launch control working, but so far of the 4 cars that we have coded this for, none of them have been able to get it working. The other reports of this working indicate that it *should* work on I-Step F020-13-07-501 or higher, but a higher level (F020-14-03-502, 2.52.1) may actually be needed. |

Ya, Tom. Thanks again for everything that you do for my car and everything that you do for the BMW community. It is greatly appreciated. Like I said, I apologize I couldn't stick around long enough to buy you brunch. I owe you one. Please see my PM.
I hope your road trip up north will be a great one. You're awesome! Gary |

Yep, I was driving to BevMo for some liquid courage. I'm a sucker for 5 cent wine sales (and Gulden Draak, Hangar 1, and... etc.)

Enhanced Bluetooth (EBT) requires either the new NBT head unit (2014 model with navigation), or if you have the older stuff, it requires the separate combox. No combox, no EBT. Generally, if you have BMW Assist, but no EBT, then it can be coded. If you don't have Assist, then it's iffy if you have the necessary hardware on your car. Satellite radio can be coded, but you have to get an enabling FSC code for it from BMW or from one of the 3rd party vendors. |
