Is this too good to be true

Hello

A greenhorn at this site. I am currently looking to buy a 2016 428i GC. I found a dealer that is advertising a couple of cars that are 14.7% and 13.2% below MSRP. In fact, 435i GC is 9.6% and 11.3% below MSRP.

Are the dealers really discounting the cars that much. What is the catch?

I am not sure if want to drive 300+ miles to look at these cars. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

For a 2016 it makes perfect sense. Think about it, the 430 and 440 are out now. Your dream scenario would be an exec demo with a couple of K miles on it, that should be going for even less than what you are seeing.

I've got a dealer down to 15% off a loaded M235, again 2016 leftover and 240 out now.

Sounds cool! Which dealer in the Roseville/Sacramento area?

I was just able to do a lease deal on a 2016 340xi M-sport

MSRP - $57,450
Sales Price - $50,688 with all incentives.

10k/yr for 24mo is $548/mo with $2,333 due at signing.

Cheap money for these 2016 cars, imho. I pick it up on Friday!

That does seem like a good deal. However I'll recommend doing some research on other dealers first and they will always try to beat the offer. I did the same and managed to get 16.05% discount in the end off a fully loaded 440i.

Are you an existing customer of theirs as that will always help?

The catch is that they didn't disclose doc/dealer fees, interest rates or whether these advertised prices include incentives or not. You shouldn't drive 300+ miles until you've got an out the door price (excluding ttl) on paper that you're happy with.

Last year, around this time of the year,I came across a '15 335GT in CA with a price of $47185.Discontinued from $59935.Almost pulled a trigger but at the very last moment decided that GT is not a car for me.So the deals are out there. Also, from my experience, the 428's and 328's are heavily discounted at the end of the year.
Good luck!
