Spoiler thoughts!

Hey guys,

I am torn between...A carbon fiber performance spoiler or no spoiler at all. I have a black sapphire 335i with black grills and tints. I'm maybe concerned a spoiler will look odd with my stock sport wheels. I have no plans for blacked out wheels or carbon fiber mirror caps. Maybe down the road.

What do you guys think?

I like the profile of the rear spoiler. But dont like it in a contrasting color cause it looks "added on" therefore its a yes on the rear spoiler either carbon fber or gloss black to match your car -

I agree. Body match it though. If not, you may be mistaken for a true M3 with carbon fiber parts.

I got my Carbon fiber spoiler in the mail today, but I haven't installed it yet. To my surprise, it doesn't hit me right. I think it being carbon fiber does look too "added on" contrasting with the black sapphire. Here are some pics. What do you guys think now with pictures?

Personally, I prefer the small, body colored, lip spoiler that is standard on the ///M3. Less is more.

I think I'm leaning with you tturedraider. But I imagine everyone has his or her personal preference.

I have some CF on my M3 but I prefer the smaller, stock body color lip spoiler

I thought I was getting the smaller spoiler, only to have gotten the bigger one when my car was delivered. But now, I can honestly say I like the larger spoiler.
Go with the one you bought

Just my opinion since my car looks like yours: the carbon fiber looks good, but I think you need other carbon fiber items(mirror caps, lip) to tie it in. Just a spoiler looks "added in" to me. I think a spoiler of that size in SBM would look more natural and elegant.

I agree jgoens After thinking on it today, I've decided it looks out of place without other carbon fiber. I'm switching to a paint matched black sapphire. Now I'm deciding on m3 style lip vs the larger performance style spoiler. Personally, I felt the performance style cf spoiler I received today was quite large.

I went with the CF performance and never regretted it, black on Melbourne red.

I have a BSM 335i as well and I decided to go with the matching spoiler. got mine from here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SHIP-FROM-LA...-/361231354094

Already comes pre-painted and 3 months in, still looks good, no quality issues.

Think you need to paint wheels black or it looks a little "special edition" to me.
