hi there, so after a lot of reading I am ready to begin learning to code and seem to be interested as well. As I have read and understood your posts and many other users, there are few things I would need to start working on. I would appreciate your help and guidance

1. A compatible Led bulb and accessories along with it to remove warning messages and flickers. (I think you posted yours and another similar one in a different both are not available anymore in the links provided)

My options are below:

http://www.headlightexperts.com/cata...it/category/2/ $109

https://www.carid.com/2014-bmw-3-series-led-lights/lumen-led-headlight-conversion-kit-175098964.html?parentsubmodel[]=MODEL|328i%20GT%20xDrive $150

http://www.opt-7.com/fluxbeam-led-headlights/ $100

2. Where did you buy the ENET cable? Would need a reliable source.

3. What software to use for coding? BMW coding database is something new I guess VS E-Sys ?
along with E-SYS we need a database file and any instructions on would help.

Thank you

There are no brighter halogen bulbs, they're all the same 55 watts. Some are tinted blue to appear whiter, but that tint is just like sunglasses, it reduces the brightness. The claims made by Sylvania, Philips and the rest are phony.
I've just recently seen some Asian H7 bulbs that claim to be 100 watt. Maybe they are, but that could burn out your wiring. What matters is lumens, that's how light output is measured. 55w H7 are around 1400 lumens. If you can't verify that what you're looking at isn't at least 2000 lumens don't bother.

The bulb link I originally posted shows 12 in stock as of this minute. I bet just on Amazon alone you could find at least four other sources for the same bulbs. I used e-sys for coding, but since LED lighting is one of the most common mods just about any of the coding options include it.

Also, Please note how much I spent for the conversion:

$22.50 - Low beam LEDs
$9.29 - Parking lights LEDs
$8.29 - DRLs LEDs
$28.68 - Vgate WiFi Adapter
$35.00 - BimmerCode App

Any chance you could post a night view of the color 6000k lights? That would be huge. Trying to determine if they are the right color for my taste. Thanks.

Did you ever find the ENET cable? I've got a vid that shows an example of coding w Esys. About to drop it tonight and it contains links to ESys software and the ENET cable.

Enet cable is the wrong term, as that refers to ethernet cable used with peripherals like printers. Google Esys cable and you'll find multiple sources.

the Philips ultinon are by far the best of the best low beam h7led for our cars.. but damn are they expensive.. I ran hid for high beam 55watt, and had Steve at codemybimmer do his magic with coding, changed all lights to led, except high beams. and changed that park light to a custom made l shaped led assembly right by the fog light...

I'd have to see some serious testing compared to other options to come to that conclusion, especially as they use the same LED chips as many bulbs 1/4 their price. The testing results I have found for these don't justify the price. It's not exactly from a lab, but it's all I could find:
https://www.hidplanet.com/forums/for...ultinon-h7-led
More expensive doesn't always mean better. Often it just means more expensive.

Thumbs up Successful Upgrade Halogen to LED

Hi everyone,

I successfully installed LED's followed directions from crimson_king post. So it is my honor and privilege to thank him for his directions. Here I will explain my installation in detail.

My Car 328 GT with H7 Halogen Low Beam and High Beam, Stock DRL (PW24W) and Stock Parking/Position Lights (H6W).

Upgraded from Halogen to LED's

Listed below are the 5 Parts Required for the Upgrade and some handy tools in your garage will help you like screwdrivers and a sharp long nail to take out halogen parking lamps and DRL's from the housing.

Time Required: 3 hours ( If you are a beginner like me you need 3 to 4 hours depending on the skill set and tools you have and I spent time unlocking the coding feature in the ios app, I recommend you to do it prior to save time during install).

1. Parking light LEDs:

2x 6000K White Error Free BAX9S 64132 H6W 8-SMD LED Bulbs for Parking Lights = $12.99 a pair.
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F232278724652

2. DRLs:

2x For BMW F30 3 Series 2835 White LED Bulbs PW24W Error Free DRL Daytime Light = $10.36 a pair.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/281345560325?ul_noapp=true

3. Low beam headlights:

ROADSUN H7 LED Headlight Conversion Kit 6000K Cool White 72W 9000LM Replace Halogen Bulb Headlights - 3 Year Warranty = $22.50 a pair.

Note: I did not upgrade my high beams and I am planning to keep it as it is as. In the US most of us here use LOW beams and High beam is used in very rare instances.

4. WiFi OBD2 for BimmerCode App:
Vgate iCar Pro Wi-Fi OBD2 Scanner Scan Tools OBDII Car Diagnostic Tool Code Reader Fault Check Engine Light for iOS iPhone iPad/Android Compatible with ELM327 Adapter =$26.68 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XGB4QL7..._6lsDAbY6BKQSW

5. Iphone BimmerCode App for iOS - Unlock Coding for $27
Note: I used iPhone 6 for my install.

Note: There are no errors after the coding.

Above is Halogen Vs Below LED
Improved Visibility from total 5 to 7ft with dark spots to 12 to 15 ft very clear
Note: These won't affect other drivers as it is not that crazy powerful. It is just about right.

Important Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mUsGMNpGvQ

Note: The only hard part is to take out the low beams and you will find it yourself when you start working on. In 3 series you have to reach through the wheels. You have to press 3 prongs at the same time to release the lights. Attaching a picture for reference.

Any Questions during the install please feel free to reach here or private message, I wish you all a good luck with the install.

Again Thank you crimson_king without your support, I would not be able to upgrade, Thanks a ton and you have made a difference in improving my safety during my night drives.
