Connected drive is a shambolic catastrophe. Make COMMAND online look professional.

I bought the 1 quid free trial of RTTI in October...

Still got RTTI. It's expired on the portal, but they can't send the code to remove the service to my car...

This has caused me issues today as my sat nav couldn’t even find addresses and has been driving me mad! Luckily 2 of the places I had to visit today where in my recent destinations.

It does surprise me though that they can't manage a website message or tweet to let us know what's going on. Poor for a big company.

I renewed my subscription for RTTI about a month ago and have been patiently waiting for it to appear. Finally I contacted BMW and they advised doing the routine below....which I did....and it worked!

Can I recommend performing a service update to refresh the ConnectedDrive available to you. This is done inside your car, using your iDrive controller;

• Press ‘Menu’ button
• Click on ‘ConnectedDrive’
• Click ‘Options’ button (next to your iDrive controller)
• Scroll & select ‘Update BMW services’ click to update

Anyone else experienced slow down of navigation features as part of this RTTI issue on the BMW end?

See this thread

Since last week (possibly earlier, but I didn't do a sat nav route for a couple of weeks) my sat nav has been running v. slow when calculating routes. Disabling RTTI "fixes" it. A couple of others on the above thread with the same issue. Just wondered if it's wider spread.

in my car RTTI has been on since new. Maps are 2018-1 (loaded mid Jan but working fine for a couple of months).

It may well be slower as it's calculating a route based upon traffic information... Which for the newer maps now includes an awful lot of 'B' roads, whereas before it was only 'A' roads. Which would certainly explain why it's quicker with RTTI off whilst calculating initially.
