How do you setup BMW remote?

I have a new 2015 F36. I downloaded the BMW remote app on iOS but don't know my password.

During my dealer pickup, I recall filling out a BMW assist form on their computer and set a password. That password doesn't work in the remote app.

Help!

I ended up getting this working by calling their 1-800 number. I needed to go to the connected drive website and create an account then add my car to my profile using last 7 digits of the VIN.

If you can't find your BMW Assist ID or Pass word, either:Honestly, I think it is easier to call.

Once you get a user ID & Password, then get these two Apps (work with either Android or iPhone):
  • BMW ConnectedDrive
  • MY BMW Remote
BMW Connected Drive requires your phone to either be connected via USB or in the Snap-in Adapter and is not that useful -- at least for those us with Androids

My BMW Remote allows you to lock your car, flash lights or honk horn, as well as sending locations to car (one of several ways to do that)

Think you need at least Professional Nav.

Hope that helps
