Exactly. You can run the N20 exhaust on an N26 car but you will need an N20 downpipe. If you plan to stay OEM downpipe, then you are a little stuck waiting for an N26 specific exhaust.

Sounds good IMO.
OT- if I was in charge of the doomsday clock I'd move it closer to midnight after reading some of the comments in the second video. Ah the interwebs... I+A=FT |

Sounds like a 4 banger. Does not have that traditional smooth growl that the 6 cylinders have. Wonder when an exhaust will be out for the 335i.

I don't get it. Why get the 328 and then spend approximately $3000 - $3500 to upgrade the performance, when you could have just gone for the 335i? If you have an extra $3000 lying around for mods, you most likely could have just put it towards the 335 and financed the rest. And if you can afford one of these cars, the difference in mpg is not that significant.

Do you mean from Eisenmann specifically? Because the M Performance exhaust is already available for the 335.

I agree completely, but there are those out there that probably bought the 328 without knowing it lacked the grunt of the 335 and now want to add it. I know I will miss the sound of my 335, but overall I think I will be happier with the 328. Sounds crazy I'm sure, but with a kid on the way I think the 328 is a bit more practical.

There is a stage 1 tune out for $375. There is a downpipe out for under $400. There is no stage 2 tune to take advantage of the downpipe. Just those two mods for UNDER $1000 show 270whp/300+tq and net high 4's to 60 and 105mph traps speeds, so every bit as fast if not faster than the 335. People spending money on the exhaust are doing it for sound, not to bridge the performance gap economically between the two cars.

I am actually getting a lower payment on the brand new F30 328 than I have now on my 2yo E90 335 and they are both fully loaded. Need to cut cost where I can- kids are expensive!

Plus, some people just like to personalize their cars. I'm sure there will be plenty of 335i owners who will upgrade their exhausts as well. |
