Using US laws, the guy in the white 335i was not at fault . The guy in the black 320? Was clearly encroaching in his lane and he was at fault. Once the guy in the 335i decided to speed off the tables turned. Now the the 335i driver is at fault. Not even sure why he decided to speed off. The big guy does not seem to have had any intentions to hurt him since he kept closing the door on him to prevent the 320i(?) driver from getting what looked like would be a thorough ass whooping had he come out of that car

So it turns from a simple traffic accident to an attempted murder case or grievous body harm with a dangerous weapon

No way the white car guy can claim self defense by trying to ram the other person and people in other cars.

Yeah some guy was starting to rage on me a couple months ago. I was waiting to turn left into a driveway across double yellow lines. Apparently, where this guy was from thats not legal, but its perfectly legal in Virginia ( looked it up to be sure since I turn in there everyday to pick up my daughter ). While waiting for an open spot in traffic to turn, this guy came up behind me and laid into the horn. After 10 seconds or so he got out and started screaming profanities. I stupidly got out to ask him what the problem was, and he quickly got back in the car and started yelling that its illegal to turn across a double yellow, to which I told him politely to look it up when he got home. Looking back it was dumb to get out, although my plan was definitely not to challenge him or anything, I just didnt know what the problem was.

really? are you really that stupid? please enlighten us. what would you have done if you had a gun on you? shot the guy with all those people around? lets assume you dont miss and kill an innocent bystander, you have just escalated a situation and would most likely (rightfully so) ended up in jail.

LoL I'm always waiting for the "glad I have my concealed gun permit" line. I'm like realistically what is that gonna do other than escalate the situation anymore? The guy ain't gonna beat you to death in front of a hundred spectators. The only thing pulling a gun is going to do is freak everybody out. Also what if the guy doesn't give a shit? You gonna shoot him? You going to "legally" kill someone for this petty argument? The hassle of landing in the news and sorting your life out from that situation really will put the usefulness of that permit in perspective. Maybe one in a million you'll end up in a situation where some drug dealers are trying to kidnap you for ransom and you might end up using the gun for its purpose. If that were the case, I'd tell you to get out of mexico.

I never understood BMW on BMW hate. I have my own rule that I never tailgate another BMW (regardless of model) even if they drive 45 in the left lane. The worst I'll do is flash my lights, never honk. However, I see a lot of BMW on BMW rage on the streets recently and usually it's fellow 3-series owners unfortunately (maybe just a numbers thing).

When I was driving a VW many years ago there was often a sense of community that came with the ownership of that car. Fellow drivers flashing you the V-sign, letting you in to merge, being nice in general, etc. I never understood why we can't have this sense of community in the BMW world.

Stupid gun owner response? Two years ago I saw a man get pulled from his car and get severely beaten. That's when I applied for a permit.

It appears to me that the BMW driver should be going to jail. There was no threat to him anymore, as the shirtless guy walked off. All of this could've been avoided if the driver had left the scene...bad decisions all around.

Notice I didn't speculate what I would/wouldn't do in a road rage situation. That's my business, not yours. You don't like guns? No problem, don't buy/carry one. You make your choices, I'll make mine.

Make any choices you want. I don't care. I was commenting on your statement about this is why you have a concealed weapon. Thankfully this occurred in London where people don't have guns. Had this happened here in the U.S. You would have a few dead people. Guns always escalate the situation. Sometimes it would be good to have one, but most of the time having a gun makes a bad situation worse. I still haven't heard from you about what you would have done if you had your gun there

No need to shoot anyone, that would be just stupid. But if you have a gun and the other guy doesn't, then the problem is resolved quickly. If he also has a gun, then it's a Mexican standoff

Had I been in that particular situation, I would have done everything in my power to leave the scene. I know I'm just a "stupid gun owner" and all, but the first thing to do in a potentially harmful scenario is to find a way out, if possible. I will not give you any information regarding the use of deadly force.

"Sometimes it would be good to have one" eh? That might be why having a permit to carry one could come in handy.
