Noob Intro

Figured I should do a semi formal intro since I'll be trolling this site more and more.

Currently own a 2008 G37 coupe. Also the only one in my family not driving a BMW at the moment so you know the pressure is on I've been wanting a 3 series for a while now but didn't want to have to sell my G for it. This car is just about paid off and the F30 really sealed the deal for me with the new interior design. With that said, just don't want to jump the gun before I see the new 4 series line and M3 sedan. Still trying to get used to the layout of this forum but I'll do my best and use the search function before asking questions.

Anyways. Here's my G37 and hoping to add a 335i or M3 to the stable come next year

Hi. Welcome.
Where do you hail from? You've got a nice 2 door, now get the F30 4 door. Mix and match, I say.

Thanks. I'm in the US, Minnesota specifically. Definitely leaning more towards the F30 4 door or M3 also in sedan form. Just really curious about the 4 series coupe.

Are they going to make an F30 M3? Def an M4 is in the offing. Anyway, too fast and furious for me as I mainly drive in crazy London.

Everything I've read and seen so far points to them making one. It's actually the F80 M3 but a 4 door M3 nonetheless. I'd be happy with the F30 335i to be honest but will definitely aim for the M3 when I head to the dealer.

Surprised you're not looking more at the xDrive... I'm sure you see some winter stuff up there in MN!!

Its really hard to slide the 335i even in slippery conditions. I went to the BMW performance school and we had to turn all assists off plus polished concrete with lots of water flowing to get this car to slide and or even spin.

OP has a G37 which is rwd as well. So I assume OP is confident enough to handle rwd and will only will disable the assist for fun time.

We definitely get heavy snow but nothing that can't be handle with a good set of snow tires even with rwd. My brother currently has a rwd 5 series and hardly has any issues. Plus if it's anything like the G37 aftermarket scene, I don't want to be limited on the choices of suspension and exhaust setup I can run because of the xDrive.

Thanks for the compliment. I'll admit, the back is my least favorite part of the car. Should be picking up a few upgrade for it next year to try and help that.
