Regardless what anyone thinks. The 4er GC will 100% be my next car. It's absolutely perfect for what I want. Putting in an order as soon as BMW lets me. This car tastefully modded will be stunning. I also love the hatch. Very cool car. Hopefully even more power though. I also happen to think my 335i is an amazing car and as far away from an "epic fail" as anything can get. Some of you guys IMO are crazy. my 2 cents. Fire away.

looks like a 3 series. waht's the point of a 3 series when you make this? unless they are ditching the 3. I don't understand.

I would consider a 4GC if they made a ///M version and it wasn't too big/heavy vs a F80 M3. |

This has a very high probability of being my next car.
I love the idea of a coupe, especially while I am still a young adult without kids. They are sporty and sleek and typically tuned to provide a more exhilarating ride. While I can almost count on two hands how many times I've had back seat passengers, I still find myself opening the back doors quite often to get to bags, briefcases, or other items I've placed in the back seat. I'm not sure how I would feel about losing the convenience of this. I think a "gran coupe" would provide the best of both worlds in terms of looks, practicality and fun. |

I fear as BMW becomes more mainstream (and adds all these models to "fill out their product line"), they're going to lose what made them so good. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm afraid that in the next 5-10 years, Porsche is going to be the only "mass market" enthusiast brand left. |

why do we need two different style 3 series again?
so you rename the 3 series coupe, the 4 series to set it apart from the sedan. ok fine. But now we need to have a four door 4 series too? this all seems like a huge waste of R&D. why not put more money in to the quality (fit and finish) test drove the new model and it drives and feels like a Hyundai. it was soo bad I kept my e90. Wayy better car IMO. |

So, just for fun... Based on 2013 Q1 & Q2 Global figures....
6 series GC accounts for over 50% of all 6 series sales, with the Coupe doing about 25% and the Cabriolet picking up the remainder. Sales of the two door variants dropped by ~2800 units, vs a gain of ~6470 units of the four door 6-er. On either side of the 6er GC, the 5er Saloon increased volume by ~7380 units whilst the 7er saloon dropped by ~3410 units. So.. it appears the GC models will be popular... but, are they increasing sales, or moving them about? It's simple cigarette-packet statistics, but the contribution to the sales numbers the 6GC made, maybe offset by customers moving from the Coupe or the Cabriolet, or to something sportier than a 7er... ... not to forget though that some of the customers will have been retained to the BMW brand rather than looking to a CLS or an A7. Also, noticed that with over 10,000 units in this period the 5GT outsold any of the outgoing coupe or convertible 1's & 3's (bar the E92 which sold a few hundred more), and still outsells the Z4, and each 6er variant. Like I say, there appears to be a market for these new models, people are buying them. So, is it that hard to make sense of a 4GC? |

It's odd that people who seem to profess their love for BMWs would dislike additional models to choose from.
