sounds like suspension is a major factor to you, i recommend upgrading the complete suspension and get the 3 series.
i had a mkv gti and it handled better than my e90. the gti had coilovers, aftermarket sway bars, and a rear upper stress bar. the e90 just has h&r sports with oem sport struts. the f30 m sport (which i have on order right now) isnt much of a nimble car. the gti has a much shorter wheel base and is made to handle like a go kart as it does. to me, that was the only advantage over either of my BMWs |

Hey JonoNZ, I'm coming from a Golf as well. I also think the N20 engine is superior to the 2 TFSI in the GTI as it's more responsive low down - even compared to the Golf R's 2 litre which I've driven multiple times on the track.
If you read road & track (US), wheels magazine (Aus), or Car Magazine (UK), they all say that the 328i needs the adaptive suspension as the standard suspension has too much body roll. For that reason I'll definitely be adding that to my order. |

Both have great low down torque. M Sport definitely solves the suspension/handling problems I experienced in the Luxury. Loved it. Trim is much much nicer too. Essential.
