I guess the price of used cars ultimately comes down to supply and demand. As HighlandPete has pointed out, BMW have been pushing out the new metal, often heavily discounted, and the inevitable result is a very healthy buyers' market for used BMWs.
Like Steces , I've now realised that PCP, far from being a dumb way to buy a car, is actually the smart way to go when buying new. I bought my current 2014 F31 335i new and paid cash, but when it eventually needs replacing (probably several years yet), I'll definitely go PCP. Well, either that, or I'll just go shopping for tasty used cars that I flip often. I'll hopefully be retired by then and I quite like the idea of running some exotic older stuff when I know that if it doesn't start one morning then it won't be the end of the world. |
