recent deals

I noticed in another thread people are posting MSRP and what they actually negotiated. However, all of those are in the US and in Canada we're not able to get such good deals. Just wondering if anyone has purchased recently and can advise what they ended up negotiating as this will greatly help others. Specifically I'm in the Vancouver area and can't seem to get them to budge.

You can't compare the US to Canada, they have 10 times the market we do, their dollar is stronger, blah, blah, blah.

Dealer markup is basically 8-9% They get other profit from things like F2D incentives, volume disc, holdback, etc. but generally they won't factor these streams in to the negotiation...unless they are really desperate to make volume numbers. You should easily be able to push them 6-7% down from list and might be able to get them to go further. If they won't negotiate go to the next BMW dealership...it's not like there's only one.

If it had more than 90K on it, then it's considered a "used" car. Totally different.

Yes, but in the US (or the UK for that matter), you would have got a much bigger discount, that is the point the OP is making. People in the UK regularly post that they are getting 20% off on new (not demo). I'd imagine they are getting closer to 25%+ off demo models.

the states also have more then two modlesl, i belive theres a Base model, Sport then M.

they have a lot more features to add seperatley i noticed compared to ours that are bundled. Plus we get the winter packages no matter what. In southern states they dont need that so price is less. from what i understand
