LOL so the discount price is still plus VAT? It doesn't say that on the BMW website, just that its minus labour.......
In that case stuff it, I'll wait till the cars a bit older and have it remapped, 850 + VAT + labour for what increase you get is OTT. |

The bigger intercooler might come in handy later on when you decide to do a non-OEM remap, and you benefit from the PPK in the meantime. Horses for courses though.

I was quoted £950+ VAT for remap by DMS but that voids warranty so the BMW option was a no brainer for me..... |

Hi,
I have had the PPK fitted for just over a year now. Got it fitted about 2 weeks after taking delivery of the car so don’t have too much knowledge of what a non PPK’d 330d is like. All I can remember is feeling a little under whelmed by the performance, it just felt it ran out of steam a bit. My previous 2 cars were a 335D 56 plate and 330D 09 plate LCI (manual). I can only really talk about the car with the PPK and I have to say it never disappoints even now after over a year. Feels a lot faster than my E90 335D not sure if it would actually be much faster but is certainly feels it. So I would say figures of 300+ BHP and 640+ NM are pretty much on the money. I already had the brakes so it cost me £1375 inc VAT and worth every penny in my book. Thanks |

Hello,
i own an F31 Edition M Performance (Factory Limited Edition with PPK inside 2013) since one month ,and i would want to ask a question to owners: On my Sport display, i never obtain the power level claimed by BMW, even in Sport/Sport+, even in Manual, on any gear... With Kw unit, i sometimes reach 200/205Kw instead of 210, and the worse is in Ch unit (like Ps or Bhp for some countries), with only 270 Ch instead of 286 claimed... And you, how much do you reach on this display??? By contrast, the torque seems right with 600Nm... For me i'm not sure, this engine is so linear that i don't know if it lacks some Ch, Ps, or Bhp (choice your unit according to your country), but i'm not distressed by sensations... Smooth but...perhaps too smooth for me... Thank you for your answers! Last edited by A Muse; 05-11-2015 at 06:29 PM.. Reason: My english language! |

Apart from that, they are a gimmick and would be distracting watching them and not the road. |

I think you are correct, that they are basically simple graphics being read off a lookup table rather than accurate real-time measurements. They'll be approximately right, but totally generic. * The numbers shown in the display are simply replaced on the displays. D.

On my previous M235i, it gaves exactly the real power, here on the 330D PPK, it lacks a little on the display, and i feel it lacks a little real power... That's why i ask for if other owners have the same result... |
