I've just had some promising news from my lease company, apparently BMW have told them that my car will come with changes!

They're waiting to get a list of what changes to pass on to me!

That'll make your car an April delivery then. That's hell of a wait since November!

Great news Teaston

Have they confirmed EBT is included? Having just read the dealer briefing notes, it's not mentioned anywhere. It promises 6AC (Emergency Call) and 6AE (Teleservices) as standard but that's it.

However, it goes on to reference the Connected Drive bulletin so maybe there's something in there.

Not that I will benefit but it's clearly important for some.

Thank! Nothings confirmed yet but it looks promising!

Emergency call and teleservices have always been included in bus nav, but they'll be new to non nav (radio professional)

Will update when i hear any more news!

Oh and even if it doesn't have EBT, it should have the other connecteddrive/remote services so I would fondly imagine that it would be possible to code EBT, as was the case with bus media plus before/now.

Well that says 'BMW Business Change Luxury and M Sport models Includes new generation Navigation system – Business, please refer to ConnectedDrive bulletin PN-14-G-18306 for further details' so i guess that bulletin will say about the bluetooth streaming?

That could be a possibility, for the sake of a few weeks I would prefer to get the latest technology.

Stealers are generally clueless.

So didn't they have ConnectedDrive bulletin PN-14-G-18306?

When I asked at the dealership they called over the 'tech' guy who had a printout from BMW with him. Said that business nav was coming with some parts of EBT but that full EBT was still an optional extra. Did say that streaming was going to be available after the week 10 change.

Oh right, this is interesting! So won't be able to pair 2 phones, use office or have snap in adaptor under arm rest. I'm not bothered about any of those things anyway, it was just the A2DP i want. And i guess it will include connection by the apple cable instead of y cable so bmw apps will work.

I don't think i missed any other functions of EBT?

My dealer did specifically tell me bluetooth streaming would be on my car (Nav Pro). I did not select the EBT option. Then again - they have been known to be wrong

It does make sense, i think you get streaming in a ford fiesta these days so bmw knew it should be on their cars! But then i should think it has the hardware for all the other functions that will just need to be unlocked by coding!

More shocking is the present need to spec Pro-Media or EBT to be able to properly connect an iDevice by USB! White original Apple cable use and artwork.

I wonder if the standard USB will also receive an upgrade? Com box or similar added? Or, if it's a purely a Bluetooth implementation change?

I should think it will have the combox built into the head unit like the NBT has.

I've been looking through the updates and just checking, I've ordered pro nav on my 435d so I take it none of the march updates will affect my car? As far as I'm aware the order is not locked yet, I would hate to think two weeks after my car gets built they add something new, I'm sure I can get the order delayed if needed.
Thanks

Your car if build after build week 10 should have BT streaming (doesn't matter if you've added EBT) & tyre pressure monitoring added.

Thanks, I've just had word from my salesman and they're making sure my car gets built past week 10, he did say BMW are putting back the dates on the F32 to accommodate the updates, so I'm looking at late April or early May now for my car, which is what I wanted anyway, should give me more time to increase the deposit
