And, I can't believe you used the terms "bar card" and "personal injury" in the same comment... |

As I said, OP, if you were on a state-maintained highway, you may not have any legal options. This is why someone who is experienced with the laws in your area might be of use to you.

Bushings wear....messing up alignment. Things do NOT have to be bent/broken. Happens every day.

You sound like you know what you are talking about but you don't. In Ontario, if you submit a well documented claim you will be compensated. Potholes are fixed (they claim) with in 7 days but should you nail one the resulting damages may be payed for by the cities insurance company. I know people who have been compensated.

Tell me about all of the people you know who've been compensated by the state of New Jersey in the US and I'll admit that I was wrong. But that won't happen and, I'm not. |

There are two kinds of people who post here: those that enjoy the brand and want to engage with others who share similar interests, and those that just want to see their opinions in print. He belongs to the latter category.

This is an INTERNATIONAL forum. It is assumed that anyone participating is smart enough to understand that what holds true in their little part of the world may not apply elsewhere. It's wholly irresponsible to answer inquiries such as the OP's without first understanding where he is located. Comments of any sort that are not relevant to the OP's location serve zero purpose. Please, everyone get over yourselves. |

And this has ZERO to do with sharing similar interests. A specific question was asked which I answered. All of these bullshit attacks from others who haven't a clue regarding the situation are irrational. As is your assertion that I like to "see my opinion in print". Thanks for your thoughtful contribution to the community. |

Hey everyone turns out the pothole caused me to severely bend my front left and rear left rims : luckily the tires weren't damaged.. Still noticing a slight vibration while driving on the highway tho.. Working with my dealer to see what is causing it because they are claiming they can't find anything wrong and all wheels are perfectly balanced

Also I filled a claim to New York which is for vehicle damage.. A friend of mine told me he was reimbursed for a blow out from a pothole in NY so I figured it's worth a try..I'll be grateful for whatever I can get from them. I'll keep everyone posted on this issue as well

Typically, a damaged wheel/tire or out of balance tire on the FRONT will usually result in abnormal vibrations funneling through the steering column. Typically, a damaged wheel/tire or out of balance tire on the REAR will usually result in abnormal vibrations funneling through your seat bottom. |

Yes both bent rims were replaced and an active steering alignment was done on the car

Have them check the condition of the wheel bearing; particularly if you feel that the pot hole impact may have applied a side load force against the wheel rim, rather than just up & down.

When i had it in last week the tech said he didn't see anything wrong/ didn't feel anything when he went for a test drive.. I purposely brought it into the dealer to get checked out again so if the problem continues to happen they can't say it is something additional i have done to the car since it was cleared of no issues. I'm going to make another appointment in a couple of weeks and mention the wheel bearings to them. thanks for the suggestion
