Just had some CF sexiness installed on my boot (carbon fiber spoiler)
Had the stealership do it since I'm fully warranted and maintenanced until 2018 (my Evo VIII had CF "peeling" issues due to sun/heat, so didn't want to chance it with my un-garaged beaut):
The fit, finish is amazing, worth the $395 I paid. And on MG, it's just the right amount of "pop", not ricey at all.

Don't ask. It pisses me off. (1.4 hours labor at $135/hr).

WoWWee! Talk about bend over w/o the lube... And I'm annoyed to pay $200 to install a downpipe! .... But it does look great! I'd also like to see some zoomed out pics

But they've tossed me a number of freebies along the way, so I figured whatever. I'll take some zoomed out shots this week for sure...

It really doesn't hurt to help your dealer out. I let them install my performance interior even though I could have. I wanted it in the car on delivery!!! I received because of this, free performance kidney grills with free installation, free red sportline weather mats (which I never use) black key case and 2 key chains. I think I may have had them grab their ankles... I used spit!

1. Had I purchased and installed (lowest price was $430 with shipping), I would've only had a 2 year warranty. 2. Given I paid $600 with taxes, I'm covered through Dec 2018. BMW only covers you through the entire warranty coverage if THEY install it, so it depends on your feelings about their products. I have no confidence with them given how many times I've been at the dealer, so the additional $170 for installation is just a peace of mind measure when after 6 years, if the spoiler is loose are CF is destroyed from all the salt spray, sun, and abuse the Northeast throws at it...I can get it replaced/repaired gratis.

Here are some zoomed out pictures to give you an idea of flow...what I like about it, is it's like it was meant to be there.
I've been speed testing it, and on a straight line, I don't realize much stability, but high speed sweepers (95mph+), the rear is more planted when accelerating. I'm loving the aero with this part...def functional. On a track day, I would say would enhance high speed stability (like the last turn on Lime Rock):

Looks great. I'm so torn on CF or color matched white!

The CF will literally look good on ANYTHING.
I was torn too. Trust me, especially the cost and install. But it's so good. You have to see it to believe it...I'm telling you, it'll look sex on everything.

The CF texture...
I was filling up tonight and the light was hitting the spoiler at the right angle, had to snap a few so you guys could see what I'm drooling over...(and raving about):

I'm sold. Just wondering how much it actually 'stands out' on the mineral gray. Is the contrast really noticeable or it blends in nicely with the MG?

Yup, looks great. I think you're the only person on here I've seen that has the real M_perf CF spoiler. I wish you could meet up with someone who has one of the ebay $150 CF spoilers to compare. I'm curious how the finishes compare, which one is bigger, sticks out further, etc.

I think it blends well with MG and Black. It would stick out on Red/AW/Blue, but I would only do on those cars if it was an M Sport, because then you really do need the aggressive front bumper. Hope this helps you with the decision process!

Does anybody have a picture of this on an Estoril blue F30? I'd be interested in seeing that combination of carbon fiber on blue.
