Verizon global data with android GPS for Germany/Switzerland driving?

I am going to drive from Munich to Geneva, is it feasible to rely on Verizon global data and build in smartphone GPS to route me the whole way?

Here is my planned drive.

consider local prepaid card

Unless you have someone paying for your global data, here is what I would do:
I would make sure my android i unlocked
Get myself one month prepaid pay as you go vodafone card

Install any offline free navigation from Google Play, (Ex: Waze, TeleNav, MapFactor Navigator), uncheck Data Roaming on your phone and you are ready to go.

That option is 25 USD per 100 MB.
You could use that bandwidth to skype as well and surf the web
