Must be because you have the 2013 model! Lucky hehe
You can't. Dealer Program will wipe all FDL Coding.

Okay, I was doing great until I messed something up tonight.

A couple weeks ago I coded several options (auto-fold, no disclaimer, cameras in motion, etc.) and everything worked great. Tonight I went through and edited a few more options in HU_CIC and FEM_BODY. It was late, I was tired, and instead of clicking the "Code FDL" button in the right pane, I right-clicked the CAFD and clicked "Code". Everything looked liked it worked fine until I finished FEM_BODY and got active blindspot and drivetrain malfunction warnings.

Now, besides the malfunction warnings and the wiping out of my previously coded settings, Comfort Access doesn't appear to be working to lock/unlock the car.

Now, I see CAFD_FFFFFFFF_255_255_255 under FEM_BODY and it won't let me code it again. I made a backup of all the CAFD files before I started any programming, but I have no idea how to get it fixed.

Please tell me there's some magic reset button I'm missing and I won't need to take my car in to the dealership to get reprogrammed. Thanks!

You have corrupted your FEM_BODY CAFD.

Are you coding your car with the engine off, or did you experience in some other way a Power Interruption?

It is imperative the car be maintained at proper voltage while coding, else this happens.

To fix this:

Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Left-Click on FEM_BODY => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level => Select OK => Right-Click on FEM_BODY (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

THANK YOU SHAWN! I caught your message right before leaving for work, which was a good thing because my car wouldn't start otherwise. Followed your steps and everything seems to be working fine again.

I've been programming with the ignition on, but engine off (which I thought was what the PDF instructions said to do). I have since read that you program with the engine on, and I will be sure to do the same.

Try these in the CAF [FEM_01]

30D0 RemoteControl, 13:

RC_DEFAULT_IDG_4TH_BUTTON_SHORT
RC_DEFAULT_IDG_4TH_BUTTON_MID
RC_DEFAULT_IDG_4TH_BUTTON_LONG

Hi Demge. Tried these couple times and coded successfully. Somehow the 4th button short press is still not working. Can not get pathway lighting to work on remote.

Btw, I mainly need and use this feature when I go coffee shops. Drivers here in my city are mostly morons. They like to park close and ding your door or touch parallel park. Thus if I see one is parking next to my car, I like to turn on the pathway light to alert them that someone is watching.

We only have three buttons here in the UK by the way. So is it only the short function that doesn't work or follow me home lights at all on the 4th button.?

Also try enabling this:
CAF [FEM_01]
3060 LceMaster, 1C
FOLLOWMEHOME_VIA_FFB

BMW Aftersales has announced a Sirius XM Satellite Radio retrofit program for 2010-2013 BMWs. Certain BMW model year 2010 to 2013 were built at the factory “Satellite Radio Ready”. This means the vehicle includes all necessary Satellite Radio hardware and can get satellite radio with a simple enable code. The enable code is available from BMW dealerships with an MSRP price of $375. The cost includes a one year subscription to the Sirius Everything package plus the Best of XM which matches the factory option offering.

To see if your vehicle is Sattllite Radio ready reference the attached chart or better yet contact your dealer. Most vehicles will only require the activation code but some vehicles may require a new head unit or satellite radio antenna.

You left me PM regarding this; however, since you have only this one post, you can not revive a PM reply.

Anyway, Frogman has provided you with the official BMW Link for this promotion.

Startup emblem, just like it says, changes the startup animation on your navi screen. I don't know the exact numbers for them but you have 5 to choose from including an //M animation. The exact values are in the cheat sheet

Hi all,

I just changed this:
HU_BNT 3001 STARTUP_EMBLEM > variant_01, this gives me now the M startup emblem in the nav display. Have one question do, how to make the startup/welcome screen manual visable ? I mean when i open the car it shows the Mperformance in the dash, i push the start button and the nav display starts right up to for example radio or nav, i dont see the welcome screen because it starts right up. I only saw the M logo after coding and the displays reseted. So how to turn on or off the display that i can see the startup/welcome screen ?

Thx

I am having this same problem. I thought it had something to do with turning off the fogs on cornering. Maybe we should revert everything back to factory settings and then re-code to see if it happens again? Does anyone have any ideas??

I received the same error "adaptive lighting malfunction" when I coded turn signal blink, ambient lighting brightness and ambient lighting not controlled by cluster lighting. I think the error comes up every times you code the lighting function. luckily my head lights still turn when I turn the steering wheel.

I was looking to disable fogs on when turning... I want to make sure I didn't disable my adaptive headlights. I would appreciate it if someone posted the correct items to disable for fogs and which items should be enabled for adaptive headlights. When disabling the fogs, my car said "Adaptive headlight malfunction" for a few seconds when coding. Just want to make sure I didn't disable those too. THANK YOU!

C_BLC_ENA = F030disable - Switch to disable BLC (Adaptive Head Lights, aka AHL)

C_CLC_ENA = F030disable - Switch to disable CLC (cornering fog light)
