Downpipes and Warranty
Hey guys,
Anyone know of any BMW dealers in Ontario or even Quebec that are OK with downpipes? Thinking of installing ER Downpipes but worried about warranty implications at my current dealer. Thanks

Go to any Dinan+BMW dealership, they are very relaxed about aftermarket parts, there is one at BMW Laval in Montreal, and One at Budds in Ontario.

It's a good question. My 435 is going in for an oil change tomorrow and I'm getting downpipes installed on Tuesday. Will chat with my service manager at Budds to gauge his feeling towards the parts. Would prefer to not have to remove them before every service appointment.

your insurance is more of a concern than the car warrantee. Performance modifications are usually frowned upon and you may get a notice of cancelation. Mods like this are best not publicized.

Seriously, this is a bmw enthusiast forum. There are 100s of thousands of posts where people are talking about downpipe this, jb4 that, videos of cars doing 0-60pl pulls, and God knows everything else under the moon that will void/breach insurance. Just find it kind of funny (but again, it is probably the truth) |
