Yes if he has champ2 but if he has the entrynav like Demig above then you need to follow his instructions it appears.

Will be interested to hear what is required for this one as it's also a recent build. One would think it should be the same but it appears they like to change things around!

I'll report back.

Although I'm not sure the 1 series got the relatively recent updates with faster nav etc. They have it now on the LCI but this is a pre-LCI.

Has he looked under the boot for the combox? Easiest way to find out.

Well for f30post notifications it's in the options in the bimmerpost app for the choice of different BMW sounds.

For text messages use a youtube clip like this

So, coded the 135 tonight on the way out of our meeting.

Turns out it was an HU_EntryNav (or whatever it's called) unit, no separate combox in the ECU list so didn't even bother looking under the floor.

Edited FA to 6NS, wrote FA, coded HU_EntryNav > job done, all working with no need to mess around with further changes.

HU_EntryNav on mine but I had to fdl code some entries so I am intrigued that you got it to work by VO coding. I will have to have another go at it, can't see why the NH to NS switch would not have just done the job. Have you got the office functionality working?

Yeah, odd isn't it.

It showed up with office on the menu but he had to get on the road so we didn't test it - he was just desperate for the two phones thing.

I don't know about over USB, but when i'm listening to music/spotify from my phone over BT then it will play the message tone theough the car.

Not if the phone is plugged in on the Apple lead. All volume is muted & the ringtone is thru the car but no text tone?

I tend to always plug it in & put away in the armrest as phone is then stored safely & charging.

Can I use this guide to code enhanced bluetooth to enable texts and streaming music from my iPhone on my March 2013 F20 BMW 1?

The car came with the standard non-sat nav stereo and no iPhone cradle.
