Looks like you went with BMW Encinitas too..Work with service advisor Sean Puno and their Tech Ian. Mention James.

What part of town are you in? Im in Del Sur/Santaluz
It's funny because I recognized Sean from when he worked at Pioneer Porsche. When SD Porsche bought them out, they changed the whole staff.

We're close. I'm in Carmel Valley.

Yeah nice grille. I thought you had to take the rear diffuser when you get the front splitter as per BMW? They say for aerodynamic reasons (probably BS)

Don't get me wrong at all, I'd love for the M-Adaptive to be stiffer than the normal sports suspension, but all I have is word of mouth to go on. And all that does is cause endless debates on no real facts.

For example, my source was a BMW race engineer at a BMW drive event. Admittedly, the Adaptive was just coming out at the time. I specifically asked him while in Sports mode if the suspension would be stiffer than the normal sport suspension. He said no. But then again, it was new at the time and he may not have had a chance to look at it.

Still, I find the M-Adaptive "feels" less stiff than my old e90's ( although I am on winter non-RFT's right now, but I am trying to compare winter apples to winter apples ).
I agree, when I thought I was driving a car with it, the Sports Mode felt stiffer. Afterward I learned it had passive. So there is a bit of psychological impression to it. That's why without real numbers I'm skeptical as well.

M Sport Adaptive Suspension makes the car into a 5* one. THE most important option bar none IMO.
I wish people would spend their hard earned on this option instead of 'tarting up' ones. Makes no sense.

Agreed. Hard to believe people spend money on grills, wheels, tint and other cosmetic options before this. And it catapults the car above a standard E90 in every respect.

Glad you and I are on the same page. Without the MS Suspenders, the car is average. With it, it's nirvana and then some.
Adaptive suspension is the single most important option on any car that has this available. It really works wonders.
Call me old fashioned!!!!!

The only negative things I read about the M Adaptive Suspension are from people without it.

Ha, ha! I can only for them. For a few hundred $ or £ they 'saved' they got a car that's an also ran.
Penny wise, pound foolish par excellence!

I agree except that it is adaptive, so wouldnt the correct statement be that it can be stiffer in sport and can be softer in comfort, but isn't always either?

Body control .... that's the key.

The passive Sport Suspension is hardly also ran.

Although I have nothing negative to say about Adaptive suspension, I wish I hadn't ordered it. There isn't a huge difference between the two settings, and I prefer Sport setting in just about all situations.

Between which two settings? Sport and Comfort are very different on my car.

That's why when I ordered my car I didn't get it. I was coming from an E46 M3 and knew I'd be in Sports mode all the time anyway--which is true. I've never driven in anything but since day one.
