Question M3 Style Bumper Fitment

I would really like to get a M3 style bumper, but I am concerned about how well it fits. I don't seem to have too many options. I have a 2013 335i xDrive without fog lights, but I do have the parking sensors. This is the only one I came across with those options. https://bit.ly/2vK9rNp

I haven't found any reviews, so hopefully someone here has experience. Does this Mod bumper fit well (perfect)?

There's quite a few vendors that sell it. They're all from the same manufacturer for the most part, Good Go, based in Taiwan. I'm sure it'll be just fine, I got it myself and it fits perfectly.

Make sure you get one with the lip splitter or else you might have to find one that fits later on.

I got one for my 2013 335i with the lip splitter and it fit perfect.

No issues what so ever.

I would point out this thread in regards to a non-OEM screen upgrade.

http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1489609

As noted, those with refined tastes have severe issue with audio. Those without, think it’s just fine.

While I have not seen every M3 replica bumper for the F30s, I have seen a few and know that of those, the same applies. Again, I cannot speak for ALL M3 Style bumpers (or MSport Style replicas).

All it takes is reading the threads of most who obtain an M3 style bumper and some of the comments on painting as cheaply as possible show that there are different levels of what is acceptable.

For me, I did not go for the M3 Bumper after long consideration because of the fit issues as well as ventilation issues. There are a number of ducts behind a MSport Bumper that are not all replicated in the M3 Style bumpers OR MSPORT STYLE BUMPERS. That was another major concern for me besides fitment issues.

Finally, there is no way to know the way these change basic airflow into the engine compartment either.

Those points had me sticking with an OEM MSports Bumper and all the appropriate venting and ducting behind the bumper.

It’s your car. You can do whatever you want. But just giving you my thought process.

Which brand bumper and splitter did you get? The ModB one I have been looking at, I don't see a splitter they sell for the M3 style bumper.

I agree. I looked through the threads and didn't find much that I know fits my car. Maybe I am just having trouble searching, but most of the bumpers I have found, seem to have two models. With or without fog lights, and usually without PDC. My car has no fog lights, but does have the PDC. So far I have only found one company selling a bumper with the PDC. Personally I don't care for the parking distance control, but I am not sure I can get a bumper without the PDC holes.

I got mine on EBay from a reputable vendor in SoCal with free shipping. I have had it on since 2016 with no issues.

I just ordered a m3 rep bumper for my 2015 328i from ModB. I will report back on fitment and post pics once it arrives and is mounted up.

If you had to chose between these two bumpers, which one would you get?

I'm pretty sure the MB one is Good Go. I have no experience with RW. For that reason I would go MB.

Go with the MB. Most of the parts they sell are quality.

I bought mine from Ikon on ebay and fitment and quality was very good.

To my knowledge the ventilation/valence ducts are just slightly off of the M-sport ventilation/valence ducts.

I went from M-sport bumper to M3 style bumper.

Does the m3 style bumper with lip hang lower than the msport bumper with lip?

I would say it is about the same.

For the first few months I left the height adjustment on my coilovers the same.

After that I dropped my car a bit lower to perfect the fitment and look since I added wheel spacers.

Even when I did that I did not really scrap too much.

Hope that answers your question.

Looks great! Can't go wrong with the Good Go branded ones! Did you only do the front?

Thanks! Yup only the front. I'm not trying to make the entire car look like an m3, only wanted to change the look of the front.
