I'm about to pull the trigger on a pair of Focal IFBMW subs however there are two versions.

I've found a pair for £289 which is a great deal and I believe they are not the V2's so I'm wondering what is the difference between the two.

They are both identical to each other and apart from a mounting spacer accessory, I can't seem to see any difference between the two.

Is this spacer necessary for the F31 or can I make do with the original version.

The difference in price is about £100 which is pretty significant!

Not necessarily. Any differences would be revealed by the driver Theile-Small specs. I don't see them listed on the Focal site.

Only difference btw v1 and v2 is the added spacer (I have both models).

It is required to install in a f3x subs enclosure, which is shallower than the E9x it was designed for; you can also choose to try to make your own, just more work involved.

Price difference is probably from sales to empty v1 stocks
