Looks great but does not seem like a 60k car that BMW is asking for one that is decently optioned out.

BMW begs to differ.

Thats a sexy car. The dude with the short euro shorts, no shirt and about 15-20 extra lbs is even sexier. My only gripe is the reveal models....

I still agree on the cheap interior. What people fail to realize is that the interior looks good but the materials used are cheap. The feel and interactions that you have with the bits and pieces in the car are a downgrade from the e9x models. The e9x generation had a solid, rock hard interior and materials. Sure it did not have the modern upgrade feel like the new models but it was made right. Sometimes less is more but BMW does not care about that but what will make them money.

I don't see how people can interpret feel from looks. The interior doesn't look so bad and if it's anything like the F30, it's not going to be so bad.

I don't agree. The materials are the same if not better but definitely not a downgrade from the E9X. The only thing you might be able to argue are the seats but everything else seems like an upgrade to me. Once I sat in one, I absolutely felt and noticed the difference - it feels a lot more tailored.

Why the huge gap wheel/tire gap with the wheel-well? Is there some technical reason?

Not according to the recent R&T comparison between the E90 and F30..

This car is definitely growing on me but certain aspects I just will never get over. Holding out for hope with the M4 LCI

We recently picked up a F30 328xi and the only gripe about the interior is the the center dash trim piece that goes over into the passenger side is a bit taller than it should be. Everything else is on par with the E90. The E90 had slightly softer vinyl/rubber material used on the dash but aside from that there's not too much hard plastic anywhere on the car.

What most people don't realize is rather than using plastic, they're going to use vinyl and either one isn't that great until you step up and enter the leather trimmed interior which you'll find on the M models and some 5's and 7's.

The interior color is stunning. Although I am never a fan of having any part of the dash in red!

A coupe must have red leather seats!

Overall probably best I have seen this car look. Not much better than a shiny E92 though........................

I don't know if this was addressed before but why on earth did BMW decide to put the roundel below the hood line? It really looks bad...the hood cut line on previous gens went all the way down to the grills so it looked invisible and the roundel was above it. I first noticed this on an F30 sedan in white and couldn't stop staring at it..bugs the crap out of me. You don't notice it as much on black or darker colors but to me it just seems like a design element that got overlooked.

I'm not and I'm fully aware of the difference. Aside from the seats, as I explained earlier, what can you really complain about? The vinyl dash? I think that's better in the F30. It has that solid feel at touch but isn't as soft as the one found in the E9X. The trim on the dash? Whether it be aluminum or a wood, the F30, I find way better than what was found on the E9X which, at that time, was good for its generation. HVAC controls I find to be about the same, but BMW just refined it more removing any excess plastic areas but feels more/less the same. The other thing I forgot, but it's more of a design thing, is the plastic around shifter. I would've liked it if there was a trim there but it's not like its "cheaper" plastic being put there.

I don't see how and where you can make a clear argument unless you know BMW really used a lower grade plastic. R&T said the rear attributes the look of the car as "rental-grade"? First that's extremely laughable and two I if anything the seats would be the main reason why.

I think R&T are letting the overall design and layout affect some of their judgement. We already know some members are displeased with the layout, saying it feels like it belongs in a Kia or Honda and I could see why but in terms of materials used, I just don't agree that it's a downgrade.

Just my two cents.

agreed with the horrible orange lenses in the rear taillights... other than that the car in m-sport looks very sporty and sleek. Definitely looks much more modern than the e92 m-sport imo. looks great in bsm, idk if i should get bsm or aw!
