So my delivery date to the dealership should have been today, but it's seeming like that's no longer the case. Work order on my car at the VPC hasn't finished yet (I'm assuming that's because of the 4x port installed options I have added).

I'm still hopeful that I will take delivery by this weekend! We'll see I suppose....

Looking forward to the pics!

You can really see the difference in a Germany build and an SA build. Both our cars completed on the same day yet your taking delivery this weekend and I still have a month lol.

Man oh man, I hope I take delivery this weekend! I'm hopeful at the moment.

It sucks because there they give you so many ways to get updates so you get addicted to it. I'm calling everyday (sometimes every few hours) to get updates.

This is my third order, I've held myself back this time...I have a thread of when I ordered my F80 last year, I was at the point where I was looking at live webcams as the ship was arriving at port lol.

I've limited myself to calling once a day lol

My car has been at the VPC since 3/17. When did yours arrive? It's still there getting performance parts installed and painted. It's supposed to be done "the end of this week." The waiting is killing me.

Still no production yet, but there seems to be confusion with BMW Genius on what week 9 production is. Some think it's this week, and some think it's next week.

I called again today and they said it's being produced this week, but hasn't actually changed into that status yet.
No ones seems to be able to answer this question, does a build week mean when it's goes into production or when they estimate it's going to be complete. I've been asking that since I ordered my last car. I believe it's when it's going to be completed by, my last 2 cars went into production about a week before the build week.

I also spoke with someone today, he said my car should go into production this week which means it's being completed in week 9 but going into production on week 8. Still status 112. Hopefully tomorrow mornings call isn't the dreaded "your vehicle is scheduled for production with no confirmed production yet".

Who knows :
The production date means when the car is done being built, or produced. It is not when they start production.

From what I've been told, the production date is when the vehicle is complete.

I'm still stuck at the VPC in NJ. Was supposed to take delivery yesterday.

Yea sorta, the car is being assembled during production, body assembly, paint, putting it together, etc. the production date is when the car is complete.

Still stuck at the VPC as of this morning (9am, Monday 4/4).

No update from either my CA or BMW Genius. Not sure if the holdup is related to the PIA or shipping damage (hopefully not)!!

Love your taste !! Ash grain wood is hard to find. Out of the hundreds of BMW's in stock at my local dealer (BMW Seattle) only a hand full had the ash grain wood.

I ordered a F31 M Sport with the Track Handling Package and I also got the Ash grain wood on 3/4/16 My car was loaded onto the Toscana on 4/9/16 so I'm hoping to have it delivered to BMW Seattle on 5/16/16.

Thanks for the kind words.

But unfortunately, my car is in VPC purgatory.

Hopefully it's not that the Ash Grain Wood causes the cars to be cursed...'cause that's what I got, too.

Car is still at the VPC, although I'm sure most of you are following the other thread posted above in regards to the fuel tank issue.

Over a month now!

My CA advised me yesterday that they are taking another $1k off the price of the car for the inconvenience this far. That's good news at least!

Okay, so I was kidding. The car is leaving TODAY for the dealership.

I'm going to start putting some life back into this thread. It was on a hiatus while the car was held prisoner at the VPC getting the fuel tank replaced.

More updates to come tomorrow!
