JB4 CANflap is here for the F30!

Hey guys,

Some good news. BMS has just adapted their CAN Flap commands to the JB4 F30 firmware. It works just like this F80 video. The firmware is posted on BMS' forum in the JB4 F30 thread. Pretty sweet for a free feature you upload to the JB4 at home. Considering the JB4 is only using a small fraction of its overall processing power, despite running a full CANbus and RS232 communications system no other piggyback offers, expect a lot more nifty innovations like this to come.

Saw someone on the M3/4 forum raving about a $500 module that accomplishes just this alone. LOL.

Will the mode have to be set every time I restart the car or is it "sticky" permanent until I change to another mode?

I loaded the firmware and the setting does indeed stay as saved. I've restarted my car a dozen times already and the setting was remembered. Good Job burger....thank you

True, it's the same button I use for siri as well but the valve still opens even though the siri sound comes on. Plus, I've opened the valve and I don't plan on closing it. The setting stays after restarting the car.

I just bought an old JB4 (was too cheap not to). Once I have the board and case updated, I hope this will work.

There is updated firmware now for the JB4 which moves things to the steering wheel controls and dash display. Pretty cool. Also eliminates the need for splicing in the CAN wires as its moved to an OBD port hookup.

I just bought and installed the newest (or so i thought) JB4 for my N55 f30. Should i check to see if its the newest firmware? And if I have the usb and *********** app on computer is it easy to download the newest software to it

Sorry for being a newb, im not familiar with new JB4 controls

Soo is there a tutorial on this after i do the newest software? I just bought the JB4 last week, thought it would be the latest one straight from Burger Tuning.
